Battle Begins For Chris Benoit's Estate

In today's edition of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, there are details on a ridiculous battle for the estate of Chris Benoit.

On August 28, the first probate hearing will take place on whether Benoit's previous wife and surviving children, or Nancy's surviving family, will reap the rewards of the Benoit estate.

I'm going to simplify this, because when people are grieving, battling over the money of an asshole just doesn't seem very important to me (although I'm apparently in the minority).

According to the laws in Georgia, if Nancy (who did not have a will) was the first to die (as authorities believe), her family would not receive an inheritance, and it would go to Chris' ex-wife and surviving children. If Daniel was the first to die, as Nancy's family suddenly seems to believe, they would receive the cash.

In my opinion, this is a big waste of time, and there's got to be some easier way to handle this, but what do I know?

Anyway, if you wanna read the rest of the details, here's where you can do so.
