While I consider myself a fan of Haynes, I'm not so fond of bull riding (or, for that matter, cowboys, tobacco, etc.), but did find a few items of interest in the piece.

1.) Haynes was a substitute for Melvin Guillard, whom the producers wanted, until Guillard failed a drug test in April.

2.) During filming, Haynes tore a muscle, which required surgery to repair.

3.) Here's my favorite "little tidbit" (which, something tells me, will have something to do with this not being featured on ufc.com, the way so many of these type of stories do): "Haynes recently moved from Portland to Las Vegas to train with Randy Couture. His status with the UFC is tenuous. A member of the third seasons of "The Ultimate Fighter" television show, Haynes is still under contract with the UFC. But the UFC does not have any fights available until December. Haynes (7-8, but 1-5 in his last six fights; 0-3 in the UFC) is looking to fight in September if possible. If he fights for another organization and loses, his UFC contract will be void."
