On Saturday December 1, 2007 Florida Championship Wrestling returned to the Jewish Community Center, 9841 Scenic Drive in Port Richey.

(1) “The Carnival Freak” Sinn Bowdee (w/evil rubber ducky) vs. Kevin Kiley.

Kiley and Bowdee were on opposite team last Tuesday night with Kiley’s team winning a six man bout. Bowdee took control of the rookie by working over his left arm, even tying it up in the tag rope as he pulled on Kiley’s good arm. The referee warned he would end the match and Kiley used this chance to send Bowdee flying over the ropes and to the floor. When Bowdee came back to the ring Kiley was freed and ready to fight, avoiding a corner splash that made Bowdee land on the ropes crotch first. But Bowdee was able to get control again by taking Kiley’s left arm to the mat in a wristlock. Kiley used all of his power to escape and attack Bowdee’s left arm. With control of Bowdee’s arm Kiley dragged him to a corner for some time with the three turnbuckle pads. Kiley went up top with Bowdee but came crashing to the ring and Bowdee joined him on the mat with a top rope headbutt to win the match.

(2) Kofi Kingston & Tommy Taylor defeated Jake Hager & “the Professional” Mike Mondo.

Before the match Mondo & Hager addressed the fans, actually Mondo told Hager his singing on the mic before the match was “not very professional.” Mondo also told everyone he wanted the FCW Southern Heavyweight championship and would go through anyone even his opponents to get it. Kingston & Taylor were not intimidated by Mondo’s words and they kept their opponents on the defensive for several minutes. Hager ended that by stopping Kingston from following Mondo to the floor, sending him crashing to the mat. Mondo and Kingston worked over Kingston’s neck and upper back with..well professional moves, legal and illegal. But Kingston was able to get some distance from Hager and that allowed Kingston to tag back in and clean house. But Hager was able to get a hold of Taylor as the referee tried to get control of the match. However Mondo missed Taylor and decked Hager with a discus punch and Taylor grabbed Mondo for the quick pinfall.

(3) “Bad Seed” Shawn Osborne defeated “Super Fan” Chet Douglas.

Even as the fans chanted “Bad Seed Sucks” Douglas asked for an autograph. But Osborne ripped up his paper and tossed the pen into the crowd. This made Douglas mad and he went into wrestling mode, taking Osborne down with armdrags. Osborne escaped a Batista Bomb and went to a corner to re-think things but Douglas hit a second rope elbow for two. Douglas went for the Undertaker top rope walk but Osborne got some leverage and sent Douglas crashing into the ring. Osborne decided to get some air so he tossed Douglas to the floor and anytime Douglas tried to come back in, Osborne sent him to the floor. Douglas stopped one attack and went for a sunset flip but Osborne grabbed the top rope and used it as leverage to pin Douglas.

(4) “The Natural” Nick Nemeth & Big Rob defeated Robert Anthony & Bryan Kelly.

Nemeth was interrupted as he tried to raise the divorce rate in Florida by the music of his opponents and he only got more upset as Anthony and Kelly tossed him around the ring. At one point Nemeth bailed to the floor and into the ample arms of Big Rob. But Kelly took his eyes off Nemeth and tried to punch Big Rob and Rob pie faced him clear across the ring. Nemeth took over on Kelly with a neckvise but Kelly fought to his feet and dropped an elbow on Nemeth. With the crowd on his side, Kelly used that energy to tag in Anthony who went to work on Nemeth. But Nemeth hit Anthony in the throat and it allowed Big Rob to get in a cheap shot which allowed Nemeth to pin Anthony.

The masked man Ichiban and his advisor Mr. Yamamoto made their way to the ring. But like Tuesday night Mr. Yamamoto spoke only Japanese to the fans. This seemed to get the attention of Derick Linkin and the Bella Twins (Nicole and Brianna) who came to the ring. Linkin told Yamamoto that if he didn’t like America he should leave it. But as he talked Ichiban came from behind and hit Linkin with an enziguri. Linkin looked like trouble was brewing but he ducked a double clothesline and sent the Japanese duo to the floor. Linkin challenged Ichiban to a match this Tuesday at Bourbon Street but Yamamoto said in English that if the match would take place, but it would be as a handicap bout!

(5) Sheamus & Ted DiBiase Jr. (w/Smackdown’s Maryse) defeated Rycklon & Steve Lewington.

Sheamus and DiBiase wasted no time, jumping their opponents before the bell, but it backfired and they ended up on the floor rethinking their attack plan. When DiBiase came back to the ring it was to face off with Lewington who took over on DiBiase’s left arm as Maryse begged for Lewington to let go in fear her man was going to severely injured. Rycklon tagged in and kept the pressure on with another tag from Lewington. But Sheamus distracted the referee and it allowed DiBiase to rake Lewington’s eyes. The duo made several tags keeping Lewington from using his power advantage by keeping him on the mat. But just as Lewington escaped each submission hold they applied he ended up being dragged down to the mat again. Lewington got some distance from Sheamus on a mid ring collision and it allowed a tag to Rycklon, or we thought so as Maryse distracted him and the referee as Sheamus and DiBiase finished off Lewington with a double team move.

(6) In the battle of giants, “the Mastodon of Mayhem” G-Rilla defeated the 7FT Giant Titan.

The match started with a kick into G-Rilla’s gut and went right into Titan’s hands with shots to G-Rilla’s throat. Titan kept the match slow paced dropping an elbow onto G-Rilla. G-Rilla went for a bodyslam and he couldn’t get the 7 footer off his feet but Titan was able to slam G-Rilla with little problem for a two count. G-Rilla recovered hitting a corner splash and a shoulder tackle finally getting Titan on the mat after a bodyslam. G-Rilla pulled down his singlet and was able to defeat Titan with a ring shaking splash.

(7) In a grudge match, Billy Kidman & Johnny Curtis defeated Hade Vansen & “Handsome” Heath Miller.

This match came about as a result of the four men not being able to resolve anything last Tuesday in Miller’s Happy Hour Lounge or in matches. So the FCW Commissioner created this match hoping to settle the differences. Never to decline so time to talk to the fans, Miller spoke to the fans about some things that had been on his chest. But Vansen took the mic and declared himself the captain of the team. As the arguing over who was in charge went on, their opponents hit the ring and then hit Miller and Vansen, taking the match to the floor where Curtis then Kidman hit topes. When the match came back to the ring, Kidman and Curtis kept their opponents on the defensive for several minutes. That was until Curtis’ knee gave out on him as he went to bodyslam Vansen. Miller and Vansen did what any respectable man would do, they kept Curtis from tagging out and attempted to decimate Curtis’ knee with leg laces and other submission holds. But Curtis was able to use his good leg to drive Vansen to a corner and the momentum sent Vansen to the floor. Miller tried to stop the tag but he couldn’t and Kidman came in ready to fight with Miller. Miller ducked a move and Vansen snuck in, hitting Kidman with a DDT. But as Miller went to check on his partner, Kidman recovered and Miller with the Sky High Slam to win via pinfall.

(8) In a ladder match, “Stampede Kid” TJ Wilson became FCW Southern Heavyweight champion when he defeated Afa Jr.

This match came about after Afa’s attempt to end the career of Kofi Kingston by jumping off a ladder as Kingston was laid out on folding chairs. Wilson came out to defend his friend and made the challenge to Afa for this bout tonight. Afa didn’t look too happy when he got to ringside and saw his title belt hanging some 15 feet above the ring and took the fight to Wilson; but it was returned in kind as Wilson sent the champion to the mat followed by the floor. Wilson went to the floor for the ladder but he wasn’t fast enough as Afa caught him and brought to the ring post where head met metal. Afa went under the ring for his own ladder but when he placed it on the ring apron, Wilson was in the ring with his ladder and drove into Afa’s ladder. Wilson went up top for a tope but Afa grabbed his ladder and tossed into the ropes, sending Wilson crotch first to a level of pain. Wilson got to his feet and was able to counter a move he used a drop toe hold to send Afa into a ladder face first. The fighting came around ringside as Afa went to use a folding chair on Wilson but Wilson was able to duck and the impact sent vibrations through the champion’s arms. The match came back to the ring as Afa used a ladder to try and loosen some of Wilson’s teeth. But Wilson recovered and went for the title belt and had it in his hand, until Afa got to his feet and tossed Wilson plus ladder into the ropes. With Wilson on the floor Afa went up for the belt but the challenger was able to hit a missile dropkick which sent Afa off the ladder and crashing to the mat. Wilson quickly went on the attack, hitting Afa with a dropkick but his head scissor was countered into a power bomb into a ladder! Afa felt he had Wilson beaten and limbed up for the belt but Wilson was not done and grabbed Afa’s ankles. Afa came off the ladder to inflict more punishment on Wilson which included a ladder shot to the ribs. Afa felt he needed another weapon, so he grabbed a folding chair and smashed it into the ladder that stood in front of Wilson’s prone body which was propped in a corner. Afa had the match won but decided to continue the punishment to Wilson’s body. Afa climbed up the ladder but instead of the belt, he missed a moonsault. Both men fought off exhaustion as they fought to their feet as the crowd cheered on Wilson. Wilson decided to repay Afa by going up the ladder but Afa met him and brought him off with a Samoan Drop that shook the ring. Afa bailed to the floor as Wilson gasped for air and Afa came back with a folding table. Afa took it and placed in a neutral corner before hitting Wilson with a headbutt. Both men fought for position to avoid the table but Wilson got control and sent Afa into a ladder with a German suplex. Wilson got some retribution with the folding chair, using it as a launching pad to dropkick Afa into the ladder. Wilson grabbed the table and set it up in the middle of the ring as Afa tried to clear the cobwebs. With Afa on the table Wilson went up top a ladder but Afa got off and met Wilson on top. The two battled for control and it was Afa who was power bombed off and into the table!! With the champion stuck in the wreckage of the table, Wilson went to the ladder for the title and the victory. In appreciation for his effort, the good guys of the FCW locker room came to the ring to congratulate the new champion.
