After a show that saw a new Southern Heavyweight champion crowned in “Stampede Kid” TJ Wilson, Florida Championship Wrestling held their December 4, 2007 event at Bourbon St Night Club, 4331 US 19N in New Port Richey.

(1) Former FCW Southern Heavyweight champion Afa Jr. defeated Bryan Kelly.

Still fuming over his defeat on Saturday, the former champion made his way to the ring to tell everyone he was robbed and demanded a return match with TJ Wilson. Afa showed off his battle scars as he called Wilson a coward. Then he told Kelly and the fan the ass whipping they were about to witness was on Wilson’s conscious. Afa attacked Kelly as he made his way to the ring and proceeded to beat Kelly from one side to another. It ended with a superkick and a top rope splash to end his evening early.

(2) In a handicap match, Ichiban and Mr. Yamamoto defeated Derick Linkin.

Not to be outdone in the talking, Yamamoto took the ring mic to address the crowd; we’re still waiting on the translation. I think it involved insulting America and Linkin. Linkin did his talking attacking both men before they could get control of the match. But as Linkin focused on Yamamoto, Ichiban pulled him to the floor ramming Linkin’s back into the ring apron. Ichiban and Yamamoto chose to make tags instead of double team Linkin and it worked for several minutes. Linkin did his best to fight back but with no one to help him, he was at the mercy of his opponents who used the referee to shield cheating with wrist tape and the tag ropes. Linkin fought out of a neck based nerve hold only to be hit with a double superkick for two. But he did get some breathing room when Ichiban missed a top rope elbow drop. That got Linkin a second wind in which to attack both men by keeping one hurt as he attacked the other. Linkin sent Yamamoto to the floor but Ichiban attacked and went for the Katana sword Yamamoto brought to the ring. But the referee stopped it and put in a corner just as Yamamoto came back to the ring with powder he sued to blind Linkin which allowed Ichiban to get the roll up pin.

(3) Sheamus defeated “the Mastodon of Mayhem” G-Rilla via countout.

After facing the 7FT Titan on Saturday, G-Rilla was ready to face off with the evenly sized Sheamus. But G-Rilla showed while they were the same height, he had the power advantage with a ring shaking bodyslam. G-Rilla took his time introducing Sheamus’ head to the top turnbuckles but he missed a corner splash. This allowed Sheamus to hit G-Rilla with several shots to the left knee and hamstring area. Sheamus went for the submission with a lag lace move but G-Rilla refused to submit but his knee gave out on a small attempt that got Sheamus a two count. Sheamus went for a modified spinning toe hold, modified as he used the middle rope for leverage. But the referee saw it and ordered the hold be broken, so Sheamus obliged and got hit with a belly to belly suplex. This move and change of control in the bout brought Titan to the ringside area. G-Rilla stomped on Titan’s hand but Sheamus hit G-Rilla with a clothesline that sent both men to the floor. G-Rilla saw his opening and attacked Titan, totally forgetting the referee was administering a ten count that gave the victory to Sheamus.

(4) Jake Hager & “the Carnival Freak” Sinn Bowdee defeated Kevin Kiley & Kofi Kingston.

In the opening minutes Hager and Bowdee had some problems communicating and even getting on the same page as Kingston and Kiley hit double team moves like a veteran team. But that ended when Kingston went after Bowdee and when he turned around Hager hit a standing Tilt-A-Whirl slam. Bowdee and Hager kept Kingston on their side of the ring, using legal and illegal holds and using the rookie Kiley’s excitement to get back in to their advantage. Kingston escaped a headlock with a belly to back suplex and finally tagged in Kiley who was ready to fight. He smartly avoided Bowdee who went to splash him, making Bowdee land on Hager as well as duck a clothesline that nearly knocked Hager into next week. Kingston helped his partner get the win as he kept Bowdee occupied in the floor. After the match Hager and Bowdee exchanged heated words but went to the locker room without coming to blows.

(5) “The Natural” Nick Nemeth (w/Big Rob) defeated Rycklon.

Before the match Nemeth “made the divorce rate go up 25%” by taking off his shirt and was close to showing off other body parts when Rycklon made to the ring and Nemeth began running for his life. Nemeth went for a side headlock but Rycklon powered out, sending Nemeth clear across the ring. Nemeth got a kick to the gut but Rycklon got out of a side headlock and hit a shoulder tackle that sent Nemeth running to Big Rob for protection. Nemeth came back with a punch but Rycklon caught his hands and used them for a test of strength. Nemeth was in deep trouble after a bodyslam even as Big Rob tried to save Nemeth. Nemeth’s stopped whining as his breath was knocked out of the lungs with a chest chop that echoed throughout the venue. But the match ended thanks to interference from Big Rob who kept Rycklon busy long enough that allowed Nemeth time to get to his feet and hit Rycklon with a Rock Bottom to somehow win.

(6) In a mixed tag match, Robert Anthony & Brianna Bella defeated Tommy Taylor & Victoria Crawford.

The ladies attacked each other before the bell but their male counterparts separated them and began the match on their own. But it was obvious the ladies wanted at each other so their partners tagged out and the fighting began. But it was Crawford who controlled the match and actually tagged in Taylor who threw the rules out and went to attack Brianna. But the British gentleman’s package met Brianna’s right fist and it allowed Anthony a chance to come in for his team. But Taylor fought back only to have his superplex countered into a top rope splash. The ladies got tired of waiting on the ring apron and brawled in and put of the ring. Anthony fought out of a suplex to hit the Back Cracker to win for his team.

Before the next match former Intercontinental champion Santino Marella came to the ring and challenged TJ Wilson to come out and defend the title before his scheduled bout against Ted DiBiase Jr. But Wilson was in the locker room getting ready for the match so Marella said he would be sitting at ringside to check out the new champion.

(7) In a three way dance, Steve Lewington defeated “Bad Seed” Shawn Osborne & “Super Fan” Chet Douglas via countout.

Unlike Saturday night Osborne didn’t rip up Douglas’ paper used for autographs, because he has the British powerhouse in the ring at the same time. Osborne tried to use Douglas’ lack of certain mental faculties to manipulate Douglas into fighting Lewington. It worked as Douglas tossed Lewington to the floor and Osborne went on the offensive, even countering out of the Pedigree. But Lewington came back into the bout, hitting both men with a top rope bodyblock. Douglas wasn’t long for the match and was pinned Lewington via a rollup. Osborne used this time to recover on the floor and actually giving up on the bout, walking to the locker room in frustration.

(8) Billy Kidman defeated Hade Vansen.

This match was the continuance of a rivalry that began a few weeks ago on “Handsome” Heath Miller’s “Happy Hour” talk show. Vansen went to the floor to attack Kidman but it backfired on him as Kidman was ready to fight. The match went in the ring and back to the floor where Vansen drove Kidman’s shoulder into the ringpost. Vansen used the ropes and anything else he could grab to wear down Kidman’s arm and shoulder for what seemed like eternity. Kidman tried to fight back and finally got some distance from Vansen after hitting a dropkick. But Vansen countered out of the Sky High Slam into a cross armbreaker, however the hold was broken as Kidman’s foot made the bottom rope. Vansen went to end the match with a running knee to the corner but Kidman moved and rolled up Vansen for the victory. However Vansen didn’t take defeat kindly and attacked Kidman after the match with a DDT.

(9) FCW Southern Heavyweight champion “Stampede Kid” TJ Wilson defeated Ted DiBiase Jr. (w/Maryse) via DQ.

Former friends turned rivals when the title match began with some chain wrestling that went in favor of the champion. That was until Wilson went to the ropes and Maryse grabbed his ankle long enough for DiBiase to attack from behind. Wilson went to the floor so DiBiase followed and dragged the champion into the ring for some punishment. DiBiase took Wilson to the mat with a body scissor that looked like an abdominal stretch but the champion fought to his feet, only to be tossed to the floor again. DiBiase went for a cross bodyblock and somehow landed on his feet and Wilson went to the ring only to come out with a bodyblock of his own. The match came back to the ring with DiBiase missing a top rope elbow drop and Wilson getting to his feet before the standing ten count was reached. Wilson went for the win with a Perfectplex but got two. So Wilson hit a slingshot missile dropkick but got two. Wilson went for corner splash but DiBiase hit a drop toe hold to the corner and locked the Million Dollar Dream on in the middle of the ring after avoiding a pin. Wilson refused to submit and kicked himself into a flip for two. DiBiase went for a Sharpshooter but DiBiase was countered into one by Wilson. Just when it looked like DiBiase was going to submit, Afa Jr. and Hade Vansen hit the ring and attacked Wilson. Billy Kidman and Kofi Kingston were able to come out and help Wilson even the sides up. After the match Wilson called out Afa and friends to compete in a six man tag match next Tuesday night!!!
