SUN Signs IFA Heavyweight Champion Pedro "The Rock" Rizzo To A Three Fight Agreement

Courtesy of SUN Sports & Entertainment Inc.:

DALLAS, TX--Dec 17, 2007 -- SUN Sports & Entertainment Inc. (Other OTC:SSPE.PK - News) announced today the signing of a three fight exclusive agreement with IFA World Heavyweight Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Champion Pedro "the Rock" Rizzo.

SUN CEO CJ Comu stated, "Our IFA Champion (Rizzo) is one of the best stand up fighters in the world and he is willing to take on anyone that wants to enter the cage to prove it. He has dominated several UFC, PRIDE stars. He knocked out Josh Barnett, he knocked out Andrei Arvloski, he beat Mark Coleman, Ricco Rodriguez, Tra Telligman, Justin Eilers, Dan Severn and recently KO'd Jeff 'the Snowman' Monson in the third round of a title fight. Rizzo was able to knock out Monson, something the former UFC Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia was unable to do." Comu added, "At this point, we'd put him up against the best fighters in the world because Pedro Rizzo is back and he's going to keep knocking them out."

IFA World Heavyweight Championship (Brazilian) Pedro "the Rock" Rizzo 6'2" 235lbs with a Record of 16-7 (9 TKO, 4 Submission, 3 Decisions) recently proved again why he is now a two-time defender of the highly coveted IFA heavyweight championship belt. On September 1st, 2007 at "Art of War 3," an incredible action packed night of world championship fights in the Main Event featured headliner Jeff Monson being hospitalized and released the following day while 33 year-old Rizzo took 44 stitches for his work. The record attendance Dallas crowd had rarely been treated to witness two MMA titans standing toe to toe throwing 250 pound "bombs" at each other. The fight ended when the Referee jumped in to stop the brutal beating Monson was taking at the end of the third (of five championship rounds) announcing Rizzo by Knock Out.

Pedro Rizzo, now training in the Netherlands, was not available for comment, but members of his management stated that they are excited to continue to fight and defend the IFA Championship Belt and they are anxiously looking forward to the next opponent that Pedro will have the opportunity to fight. Jorge Guimarães (Joinha), Rizzo's Manager, stated, "Actually, we received a proposal, but we can't say from whom. Now it's too early to speak."

Though there have been many rumors associating Pedro with various potential fighters, no final terms have been realized and the list of opponents are impressive that are willing to take on the Champion. SUN stated that the Rizzo fight will be a World Televised Event and on Pay-Per-View with some very strong strategic partners that the company has been in discussion with. SUN's philosophy is to showcase the best independent pound for pound fighters in the world and test their skills to demonstrate their strength for a chance at a championship title belt.
