There are no firm details yet, but All-Star Championship Wrestling promoter Rock Parsons has said that he is looking to present a show in Macon, GA, next month. The last show the southern regional promotion promoted in Georgia was in September. An announced card in October was cancelled. He is also hoping to come back to Carrollton in the near future, as well as other towns around Georgia. Parsons currently has events slated in Tennessee, North Carolina, and West Virginia, and claims there are twenty-two weeks worth of television taped. He says it is already airing elsewhere, and he is negotiating to have the program broadcast in Georgia very soon. (Mick N. Brawler)

United Wrestling League, a promotion based in Piedmont, AL, about thirty-five miles from the Georgia border, is set to kick off on March 8 at the Piedmont Civic Center, with a bell time of 7:30 PM. Tickets, which can be purchased through their website beginning January 7, are priced at $12 for ringside. General admission is $10, and children 12 and under get in for $3. More details to come as the show nears. (Mick N. Brawler)

Neither Nore Havoc or Sean Casey were at the Southern All-Star Wrestling show in Millersville, TN, Friday night, so two of the matches advertised on the SAW website (Casey versus Andrews, Havoc versus luck of the draw for the TV title) did not take place. Click here for a report from the show, and here for a report from today’s broadcast. Austin Creed from the Total Nonstop Action’s Bound for Glory and NWA Anarchy is booked for the Visionaries of Wrestling show at SAW Arena on 1/12. Also listed for that show are Adrian Hawkins and Kyle Matthews from NWA Anarchy, Jason Static and Arrick Andrews. Ugene cut a promo after the show in the direction that he was coming back to SAW. Mikey Dunn of ASW is doing a benefit for Gypsy Joe in Tullahoma, TN, on 1/26. Reverend Dan Wilson from NWA Anarchy will be working that show. Joe is Wilson’s uncle. (Larry Goodman)

In recent days, it has been reported that the families of Chris and Nancy Benoit have reached an agreement on terms of how to settle the estate matters since the June 2007 tragedy. Apparently, both sides have agreed to split the estate in half, only after both have spent an estimated $600,000 in legal fees to do so. According to sources, nothing has been signed, but appropriate paperwork is being drafted. (Mick N. Brawler)

Dr. Phil C. Astin III has been granted permission to work by U.S. Magistrate Judge Linda T. Walker. Although he will continue to be under house arrest, it was determined he should be able to work in order to provide for his two young children. Astin will be under the employ of Strickland’s Towing Service. He will be allowed to tow cars for the company within a thirty-mile radius of the shop, and must return home at the end of each work day by 5:30 PM. He will also be expected to be able to produce pay stubs and show documentation of how he provides for the children. (Mick N. Brawler)
