Bodog Fight Opens 'Vault' For 'Great Escape'

For Immediate Release:
April 17, 2008

Bodog Fight's groundbreaking online mixed martial arts series The Vault returns this week with a pair of never-before-aired fights.

This Tuesday, April 15, visit bodoglife.net/fight to see middleweights Eric Lawson (3-1) and Josh Neal (2-1) climb into the Strikeforce cage in front of a packed house at San Jose's HP Pavilion during a recent Bodog Fight-sponsored event.

This fight features one of the most stunning submission escapes you are likely to see, with the escapee surviving a two-minute triangle choke before turning the tables on his opponent.

Which fighter performs like Houdini?

The answer lies within The Vault.

Catch another all-new episode of The Vault on Saturday, April 19, as American heavyweight "Big" Eric Pele (11-3) travels to Russia to battle newcomer Akhmet Sultanov in Bodog Fight: Russia vs. USA II.

The Las Vegas native deserves credit for being brave enough to take on the Russian in front of a hostile crowd at MegaSport Ice Arena in Moscow, but "Big" Eric has never been short on guts.

The 340-pound Pele earned a shocking knockout victory over the equally massive Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva in 2006 at the original Bodog Fight: Russia vs. USA in Vancouver, Canada. That loss remains as the only blemish on the Brazilian's record.

Pele followed up this performance by heading to St. Petersburg, Russia to take on top-10 heavyweight (and Fedor's little brother) Aleksander Emelianenko in Bodog Fight: Clash of the Nations.

Unfortunately for Pele he succumbed to the Russian's powerful strikes four minutes into the first round.

Will his return to Russia prove more successful?

Open The Vault to find out.

Bodog Fight: The Vault offers streaming video of all-new, never-before-seen fights each Tuesday and Saturday, commercial free. Each webisode is fully downloadable and iPod-ready, featuring a previously unaired bout from the Bodog Fight archives.

This exclusive Bodog TV footage is only available online at bodoglife.net/fight, twice honored at the 2007 Digital Marketing Awards.
