Canadian Fighters Dominate MMA Event South Of The Border

Five Canadian fighters emerge from MMA event with 4 wins and 1 loss. Over a thousand fans packed the Chapparell Community centre to the Midwest Combat Challenge 4, presented by the North American Allied Fight Series.

Mississauga, ON (April 1, 2008) -- With a roster of five of MMA fighters, Team Kombat Arts marched into foreign territory and emerged with 4 wins and 1 loss. Over a thousand fans packed the Chapparell Community centre to the Midwest Combat Challenge 4, presented by the North American Allied Fight Series. Kearn Nedd (1-1) defeated Brad Stranton at with a second round TKO. Kearn capitalized on his reach advantage by out-boxing his opponent and using effective knee strikes.

Mark Strickland goes to 2 -1 after defeating Tom Lutz via TKO at 1:19 of the second round. Mark overwhelmed his opponent with a ground and pound assault.

Max Gretch also improves to 2 -- 1 after a second round TKO over Garrett Matheron. Max won with devastating leg kicks that rendered his opponent unable to continue.

Frank Marques won due to a no-contest. Team Kombat's only loss came via a unanimous decision loss for Fadi Nader; not a bad outcome considering Fadi took the fight on one week's notice.
