Funk's Corner - Suwama Is Champion Carnival Winner, Challenges Sasaki For Triple Crown Championship

All Japan Pro Wrestling, Wednesday April 9, Tokyo's Korakuen Hall Super No Vacancy Full House (Sold out in Advance 2100 people)

After defeating Joe Doering in the Block B finals, Suwama went on to face Hiroshi Tanahashi who won over Satoshi Kojima in the Block A finals.

Suwama won All Japan's Champion Carnival Tournament with a victory over Hiroshi Tanahashi in the final match, Winner of Bock A vs Winner of Block B.

Suwama who wrestled amateur at Japan's Chuo University (Same university as Jumbo Tsuruta) offered a challenge to Triple Crown Champion, Kensuke Sasaki.

In other tournament matches:
Toshiaki Kawada won over Keiji Muto (Great Muta)
Osamu Nishimura won over Minoru Suzuki

In other matches:
Kensuke Sasaki, Katsuhiko Nakajima & Ryuji Yamaguchi beat Taiyo Kea, Kaz Hayashi & T282.

Seiya Sanada & Manabu Soya beat Nobutaka Araya & Nobukazu Hirai

TARU, Shuji Kondo & Silver King beat Ryuji Hijikata, KAI & Hiroshi Yamato

Rocky Johnson comes to the Funking Conservatory's !BANG! TV Taping Sunday May 4th.

Osamu Nishimura will be at the Funking Conservatory's !BANG! TV Taping Sunday June 1st to wrestle on !BANG! TV. Nishimura will also conduct tryouts for All Japan Pro Wrestling.

Gail Kim will be returning in the near future as "The Claw" Claudia Reiff has demanded a return match for the Women's Championship.

Now featured on !BANG! TV, Dory Funk Jr. and Masanobu Fuchi vs Tenryu and Masanobu Fuchi direct from Sumo Hall, Tokyo Japan.
