UWC - INVASION ANNOUNCES AARON RILEY AND FULL CARD FOR APRIL 26TH SHOW

Courtesy of Ultimate Warrior Sports Development, LLC:

Ultimate Warrior Sports Development, LLC announces the full card for their highly anticipated Ultimate Warrior Challenge (UWC) debut in the Washington, DC market taking place at the GMU Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA on Saturday, April 26. Previously UWC announced Pete Spratt vs. Jason Von Flue, Carlo Prater vs. Marcelo Brito, and Thomas Schulte vs. Zach Light. Now with the main card announced UWC - INVASION features the next generation.

UFC vet Aaron Riley (23-10-1) vs. Thiago Minu (8-2-0) is the highest profile fight to be added. Formerly training at American Top Team (ATT) Riley recently moved to Virginia where he now trains with One Spirit. When fighting at Welterweight Riley had a mixed record but at his natural weight of 160 he is undefeated. Riley is coming off a judges' decision loss to current IFL champion Ryan Schultz in September, his first fight at 155. Riley is mainly known for his win in Pride against Michihiro Omigawa and his fights against Dream competitor/former Bodog Welterweight champion Eddie Alvarez, current EliteXC Middleweight champion Robbie Lawler, and Spencer Fisher at Welterweight. Thiago Minu training out of UDL Brazil will have UFC vet and former ATT star Hermes Franca to corner him against Riley. Minu is coming off a rear choke loss at 7:28 in his fight against Rafael dos Anjos last April.

UWC - INVASION also features an early glimpse of rising stars from established stars. Besides UFC vet Hermes Franca's Thiago Minu and Marcelo Brito fans will see Team Rampages' Zach Light and Josh Gaskins, former UFC champion Andrei Arlovski's pupil Mike Corey, Brandon Vera's teammate Mike Easton, and Yves Edwards' training partner Carlo Prater. Also appearing are three fighters from WEC champion Carlos Condit's FitNHB and Tom Vaughn as Thomas Schulte, Gerald Lovato, and Marcus Foran come to DC. Arlovski, Vera, Franca, and Condit are all confirmed to be on hand cornering their fighters.

Mike Corey (5-2-0) vs. Josh Gaskins (4-1-0) is a prime example of this approach. Rampage's Gaskins has been establishing himself in the California scene in shows such as King of the Cage, Total Combat, and Tuff-N-Uff and now looks to step onto the bigger stage. Cornered by Arlovski Mike Corey is coming off a loss in IFL following a four-win streak and seeks to prove his IFL loss was a momentary stumble on the way to greater glory. Both are well versed on the ground but possess the technique and power to end the fight on their feet.

Also on the card are regional fighters Mike Easton from Lloyd Irvin's Martial Arts in Maryland, Johnny Curtis from One Spirit in Virginia, Tenyah Dixon out of Ground Control in Baltimore, and Josh Feldman from Hybrid Academy in Virginia Beach.

Tickets range from $28.50-$128.50 and are available at the box office or through Ticketmaster. For more on those fights and much more visit UWC's website at www.uwcmm.com, www.uwcmma.com/uwc3 (Event website), and www.ultimatvipclub.com
