Ultimate Christian Wrestling will be at the National Guard Armory in Canton, GA, on May 10 with a bell time of 8:00 PM. The doors open at 7:00. Joey Maxim was the special referee for the match between Gunkel and Skull Murphy. Don McClarty participated in an autograph session for fans.

Tarzan Tyler had been the reigning World Heavyweight Champion since he defeated Eddie Graham on April 19, 1963, in Atlanta, although Tyler had actually lost the title to Dick Steinborn on May 3, 1963, in Atlanta.

MAY 8, 1964 (FRIDAY) – ATLANTA, GA – ATLANTA MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM [P] (Don McIntyre – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Buddy Fuller defeated Jet Monroe at 5:00 > George Harris defeated Tim Geohagen at 10:00 > The Mighty Jumbo defeated Charlie Carr at 5:30 > The Bavarian Boys defeated Red Steiner & Sputnik Monroe > Joe Scarpa & Tex Riley defeated Kurt & Karl Von Brauner by disqualification / Notes: Tim Geohagen substituted for Greg Peterson in the match with George Harris. Saul Weingeroff managed Kurt & Karl Von Brauner. It was reported that Jet Monroe’s leg was broken during the match with Buddy Fuller.

MAY 8, 1965 (SATURDAY) – MARIETTA, GA – LARRY BELL BALLPARK (Elmo Chappell – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Women’s Match: Babs Wingo versus Sweet Georgia Brown > Southern Tag Team Title Match: the Corsicans* versus Eddie Graham & Sam Steamboat / Notes: No documented results for this card have been found. The Corsicans had been the reigning Southern Tag Team Champions since they defeated Buddy Fuller & Jesse James on April 16, 1965, in Atlanta.

MAY 8, 1970 (FRIDAY) – ATLANTA, GA – ATLANTA MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM [P] (Paul Jones – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Karl Von Stroheim defeated Tim Geohagen > Derrell Cochran defeated Jim Wilson > Buddy Fuller defeated El Medico > Amateur Rules Match: Joe Scarpa defeated Paul DeMarco > Alberto & Ramon Torres defeated Buddy Colt & Professor Kimura > Tornado Tag Team Match: the Assassins defeated Nick Bockwinkel & Doug Gilbert / Notes: Derrell Cochran replaced Ramon Torres in the match with Jim Wilson, and Buddy Fuller replaced Alberto Torres in the match with El Medico, as the Torres brothers replaced Fuller and substituted for Ray Gunkel in the match with Buddy Colt & Professor Kimura. Following the match between Joe Scarpa and Paul DeMarco, DeMarco told Scarpa and the crowd that he wanted to bury the hatchet and offered his hand to Scarpa. As Scarpa reluctantly gave in, DeMarco surprised him and applied the sleeper until Scarpa was unconscious, but didn’t release his grasp until Doug Gilbert charged the ring and chased him away. The individual from the match between the Assassins and Nick Bockwinkel & Doug Gilbert who scored the fall was to face the NWA World Heavyweight Champion on the May 15, 1970, card. Assassin #2 scored the pin when he took advantage of Bockwinkel after Bockwinkel had accidentally collided with Gilbert during an attempted double team maneuver. Bockwinkel attacked Gilbert afterwards as revenge, obviously blaming him for the loss. Homer O’Dell managed Buddy Colt, Professor Kimura & Karl Von Stroheim. Leo Garibaldi, Eddie Smith, and Charlie Smith were credited as being referees for this card. It was announced that Dory Funk, Jr., would be wrestling in Atlanta on May 15, 1970. There was an announcement in the program for this card “paid for” by Jack Crawford, promising “I shall return!”
