World Wrestling Entertainment results from the Judgment Day PPV at the Qwest Center in Omaha, NE, on May 18: John Cena over JBL; John Morrison & the Miz over CM Punk & Kane to retain the WWE Tag Team Title; Shawn Michaels over Chris Jericho; Mickie James over Beth Phoenix and Melina in a three-way to retain the WWE Women’s Title when she pinned Melina; the Undertaker over Edge by countout for the WWE World Heavyweight Title, which remains vacant; Jeff Hardy over MVP in match that replaced Mark Henry versus Big Show; and Triple H over Randy Orton in a cage match to retain the WWE Heavyweight Title. Batista appeared promos aimed at Michaels, but never appeared live, so it is unclear if he was actually in attendance. World Wrestling Entertainment has the following events scheduled through next weekend: tonight in Kansas City, MO, at the Kemper Arena; May 20 in Des Moines, IA, at the Wells Fargo Arena; May 21 in Monterrey, Mexico, at the Plaza De Toros Monumental; May 22 in Queretaro, Mexico, at the Plaza De Toros Santa Maria; May 23-24 in Mexico City, Mexico, at the Palacio De Los Deportes; May 24 in Cheyenne, WY, at the Taco John’s Event Center; and May 25 in Loveland, CO, at the Budweiser Event Center. Total Nonstop Action results from the Chevrolet Theatre in Wallingford, CT, on May 18: Alex Shelley over Consequences Creed; Matt Morgan over Johnny Devine; Eric Young over Rellik; LAX over Team 3-D; Awesome Kong over O.D.B.; Rhino & Traci Brooks over James Storm & Jacqueline in a mixed tag match; and Samoa Joe over Tomko. Cross in 4:30; Jeff Lewis and Hayden Young went to a 10 minute draw (10: 51 to be exact) in a match to determine the number one contender for the NWA Anarchy Television Title; Sal Rinauro & Ace Rockwell vs. Todd Sexton & Seth Delay ended as a no contest at 8:19; Shatter (with Jeff G. Bailey) beat Shaun Tempers (with the Reverend) in 8:06; Truitt Fields beat Jay Clinton to retain the NWA Anarchy Television Title in 2:29; Kimo (with Jeff G. Bailey) decimated Bo Newsom via submission in 1:35; Iceberg (with the Reverend) pinned Don Matthews in a non-title match at 10:11; and Shadow Jackson & Slim J won a 13 team Mega Rumble to earn a tag title shot on May 31 (28:24). United States Wrestling Organization/ATL results from their May 17 show in Nashville, TN, at the Stadium Inn. Attendance was what I'm guessing was an all-time low -28. Justin Spade beat Boy, Shawn Hoodrich beat Little Booger (with Charming Charles), Damien Payne beat Intern, Richard Lowe (with Boy) beat White Tiger, Damien Payne vs. Chris Norte went to a double countout and New York Gangster & Justin Spade beat Slade & Lee Cross when Gangster pinned Slade after Cross missed on a belt shot. Independent Wrestling Network results from the IWN Arena in Columbus, GA, on May 16: Thomas Britain & Simon Sermon over Jonathan Davis & Big Nasty; Melissa Coates over Sumie; Ron Stalker over Raunchy to retain the IWN Heavyweight Title, whereas Raunchy was made to serve concessions to ringside fans in a French maid costume; Rob Adonis over Kaiden Knight; Mr. Hughes over Chris Stevens; and the main event featuring Jason Cross versus A.J. Steele was ruled a no contest when Mr. Hughes interfered, with Steele and Hughes throwing Cross into a table, resulting in a reportedly legit broken elbow. (Rich Tate)

Add Tommy Rich and Abdullah the Butcher to the National Wrestling Alliance card being held at Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA, on June 7. Joe Stecher had been the reigning World Heavyweight Champion since he defeated Stanislaus Zbyszko in St. Louis, MO, on May 30, 1925. This version was the one linked back to George Hackenschmidt.

Although not mentioned, Kola Kwariani was likely in attendance, as he was charged with traveling with Argentina Rocca as a troubleshooter for him.

MAY 19, 1961 (FRIDAY) – ATLANTA, GA – ATLANTA MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM [P] (Paul Jones – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Mr. X defeated Ronnie Hill > Bob Rasmussen & Guy Mitchell defeated Jim Burke & Tiny Evans > Chief Little Eagle and Prince Kalani wrestled to a draw > Loser Gets Haircut Match: Ray Gunkel defeated Gypsy Joe / Notes: As a result of the stipulation for the match between Ray Gunkel and Gypsy Joe, the latter had his pony tail removed by a barber following the match. It was announced that Dick the Bruiser would wrestle Yukon Eric on the card on May 27, 1961, and that Argentina Rocca, Jerry Graham, Darling Dagmar, Baby Cheryl, Bobo Brazil, and Tiny Jackson would also appear on that card. Guy Mitchell participated in an autograph session for fans.
