It was announced that Argentina Rocca would be wrestling on the card on July 12, 1963, and that Buddy Rogers would be wrestling in Atlanta soon.

Gentleman X (1) managed Tarzan Tyler, Johnny Valentine & El Mongol. During their match, Valentine turned on Tyler because he felt Tyler was not helping the team. It was mentioned in the program for this card that Paul Jones believed the Gentleman X that appeared on the May 31, 1968, card was J.C. Dykes, but that the original X was actually Crawford all along. He said that if Crawford’s team had lost on this card and X was revealed to be either Dykes or Crawford, one or both would be suspended. Gentleman X had vowed to unmask if his team did not win. The win allowed Jack Crawford to return from his suspension, alleviating Gentleman X from his duties, and made it all moot. It was announced that Gene Kiniski would be wrestling Pat O’Connor on the card on June 14, 1968, and that Guillotine Gordon would be wrestling on the same card.
