The advertised card includes a GCW Heavyweight Title match with Johnny Swinger defending against Micah Taylor. Cru Jones defends the GCW Interstate Title against J-Rod. Results from the GCW show on June 26 in Phenix City, AL, at the GR8 SK8 Plex, with a reported sellout crowd of 320: Shaun Banks pinned Scotty Beach. J-Rod pinned Zero Tolerance. Tex Monroe & Alex Silva beat Orion Bishop & Murder One (with Wicked Nemesis). GCW Interstate Champion Cru Jones (with Quentin Michaels) pinned Micah Taylor when Johnny Swinger interfered. GCW Heavyweight Champion Johnny Swinger & Sonny Siaki (with Quentin Michaels & Tracy) beat David Young & Bull Buchanan when Siaki pinned Young. Princeton Gainey III announced that he fired The Bruiser and would be looking for another wrestler to manage in addition to attempting to sign Randall Johnson. He spent the night scouting Zero Tolerance. Taylor McKnight made the announcement that Diane Hewes had scheduled the matches for next week, including a one night 8-man singles tournament and Swinger (c) vs. Micah Taylor for the GCW title & Tracy Taylor. Quentin Michaels said Hewes only gets half of what she wants and made it a title match only. McKnight said Hewes had named Tracy Taylor as special referee for the match. The All-Star Wrestling Network returns to the Wrestleplex in Fort Valley, GA, tonight at 8:00 PM. AWN will be having a one night tournament to determine the new AWN Heavyweight champion. In the first round, it is advertised to be Paul Warfield vs. Iron Will, Shawn Hunter vs. Mike Kross, Sam Slaughter vs. "Dark Rebel" Jerry Thompson, and Pitbull vs. Ash. The winners advance until only one is left standing as the new champion. Tickets are $8 for ringside, $6 for general admission, $5 for Military and seniors, $4 for kids 7-14, and free for kids 6 and under. For more information call (478) 397-5734. Antonio Garza vs. "Wild Thing" Will Owens. In a mixed tag grudge match, Genni Right & Maddog vs. Veronica Fairchild & David Young. Soul Crusher vs. The Nasty Kritter. The INHuman Fly vs. "So Fine" Frankie Valentine. Bell time is 7:30 PM and admission is $10. Report from the June 27 United States Wrestling Organization show at the Stadium Inn in Nashville, TN: 75 graced the Stadium Inn with their presence. Our USWO official is Mark Owen. It is announced that there will be NO wrestling at the Stadium Inn next weekend due to events downtown. Psycho Medic vs. Intern went to a no contest when Quinton Quarisma & J.C. Crowe ran out and attacked both. USWO Jr. Champion Shane Smalls beat Brian Casey and Cousin Jason X when Smalls pinned Casey, Seven (with Charming Charles) beat New York Gangster. Lee Cross beat Jason James in a "loser gets whipped by fans who win a raffle" match. In an interesting note, Ronnie "BA" Brown appeared at the show last night and he had to adjust James' attitude a couple of times. Andy Douglas beat Tim Renesto (with Charming Charles) by DQ when Charles ran in and hit Douglas with his cane. Quinton Quarisma & J.C. He had been billed as such in Marietta since June 7, 1957, and had lost the title to Don McIntyre on June 14, 1957, in Atlanta. The program we have for this card continues to reference Bill Hartman (Ticket Sales) and Simon Davis (Timekeeper) as part of the office staff in Atlanta. According to the program, the “Live Atlanta Wrestling” television program can now be seen “on Channel 11 every Wednesday night at 10:45”, minus the previously noted Budweiser Beer sponsorship. There was a mention in this program of the passing of Tom Jenkins on June 19, 1957, as well as the fact that Edouard Carpentier had defeated Lou Thesz for the NWA World Heavyweight Title in Chicago, IL, on June 14, 1957. It was announced that Mike Clancy would be wrestling in Atlanta soon.
