NAWA Ring Champions results from the National Guard Armory in Rome, GA, on July 3: Bruiser Eden over Waylon Rhodes; Josh Stone over Frankie Valentine; Josh Hate over Stupid, with Tweety, in a diaper match; and Ricky Morton & Chris Ganz over Bobby Eaton & Air Paris. United Wrestling Association results from July 1 in Seymour, TN, with a reported crowd of 55-60: Mike Ogle over Bodacious Nick. Jerry Lee & Billy Marshall beat Aaron Cross & Justin Case. The Encore (Justin O'Day and Tyler Sutton) beat UWA Tag Team Champions Chase Stevens & Adam Armor in a non-title match. Jason Dalton defeated Mike Ogle. Kolby Garrison beat Krises. The Fabulous Moolah had been billed as Women’s World Champion since she defeated Judy Grable on September 18, 1956, in Baltimore, MD. However, she was not considered the undisputed champion until June Byers retired with her title, won in Atlanta on August 20, 1954, in a win over Mildred Burke, until Byers retired in 1964.

Although there had been various versions of the title existing in the 1950s, we have found nothing referencing a direct link to this version. It was announced that Dick Steinborn would be wrestling on the card on July 12, 1968, and that Butcher Vachon would be wrestling in Atlanta soon.
