Funk's Corner - Happy Birthday Party Turns Into A Pier Six Brawl

Courtesy of Dory Funk Jr.:

The next !BANG! TV Taping comes to the Funking Conservatory Sunday August 24th, Lexie Fyfe and TNA's Hack Meyer will be here, followed by back to back !BANG! TV Tapings with All Japan Pro Wrestling's Osamu Nishimura coming to wrestle and scout wrestling talent Saturday September 6th and Sunday September 7th.

In preparation for Osamu Nishimura, Funking Conservatory athletes dined Japanese Style. A seminar on eating Japanese Cuisine and Japanese Language / Culture was given by Dory Funk Jr.

First covered was the Japanese custom of a short prayer before dining said individually and privately by each person at the table. (In Japanese, "I-ta-da-ki-masu)

Lessons in the use of chop sticks (Hashi in Japanese) were well received by Funking Conservatory Athletes.

Dory and Marti gave some advice on Japanese courtesies common in their language that will carry foreigners a long way. All Japanese study English in school and the use of a few courtesies in Japanese can do wonders for understanding in both languages.

In the middle of a most pleasant atmosphere, Shane Chung made a rude entrance accusing all present of not telling him about the Japanese Dinner Party at the Funking Conservatory.

With most of his comments directed at Elvis Sharp, Elvis responded by tearing the pocket off of Shane's shirt that was given to him as a present by his mother. After having words face to face, Elvis threw his drink in the face of Shane Chung. In spite of efforts by Johnny Magnum to prevent a fight on this enjoyable evening, Shane Chung and Elvis Sharp locked horns.

!BANG! TV presents the dinner and violent altercation afterward in Video Plus / Big Screen Mini Movie Format now up on our website at http://www.dory-funk.com.
