World Wrestling Entertainment’s RAW crew will be at the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, TN, tonight. The main event being advertised is Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, Jr., defending the WWE World Tag Team Title against John Cena & Batista.

The SmackDown/ECW crew will be at the Macon Centreplex Coliseum in Macon, GA, tonight. The previously announced main event of Triple H versus the Great Khali in a Georgia Street Fight has changed. Khali will be facing the Big Show, while Triple H is taking time off to be with his family while he and Stephanie McMahon are settling in with their new daughter. NWA Anarchy’s Phil Shatter, Jeremy Vain, Sal Rinauro, and J.T. Talent are booked to be a part of this event.

Ric Flair has parted ways with WWE, as he has a desire to make appearances on the independent scene. Since his highly exposed retirement on WrestleMania weekend, WWE had squelched commitments Flair had made independently.

The entire staff of writers and contributors of GWH pass along our best wishes to the family of Anarchy promoter Jerry Palmer. Palmer’s wife Tabitha delivered their first child, son Griffin, prematurely by ten weeks. Ms. Palmer experienced a seizure during the birth, and Griffin was born at two pounds and six ounces. Both are said to be doing well now. Mom is back at home after a stay at Grady Hospital. Griffin, although moved to a local hospital, is not expected to be released for at least two more months.

The results of the August 3 Southern Extreme Championship Wrestling show in Bremen, GA: Rob Adonis beat Bull Buchanan to become the new SECW champion. Frankie Valentine defeated The Nightmare in a West Georgia Street Fight. In a loser leaves SECW for 30 days, Bulldog Raines defeated Josh Stone, w/Phil Heffner. The Legends match between "Pretty Boy" Doug Somers & "The Golden Boy" Chick Donovan ended in a double DQ. Josh Storm defeated Dustin Powers. Adrian Hawkins defeated Kyle Matthews.

AWA World-1 South results from Ellaville, GA, on August 2: Pain over Lou the Fixer; Big Bank Barfield over Pete Wilson, said to be a fan from Ellaville; midget Big Bad Jimmy over Exotic Sweet Lips; the Heartbreak Express over Mike Patrick & Nick Fame; Jake Slater over Tommy Rich to win the W1S Southern Heavyweight Title; Fantasy over Cruz Myers in an inter-gender match; and J-Rod over Jimmy Rave by disqualification. The attendance was reported at 380, of which 318 paid. The next show in Ellaville was announced for September 20.

Global Championship Wrestling results for the August 2 show in Palmerdale, AL: Frankie Valentine defeatsed "Wild Thing" Will Owens. Jason Phoenix defeated Scotty Blaze. Great American Wrestling Federation results from the August 2 show, in Hosford, FL: Hollywood Star defeated "International" Morgan Davis. Jason Fear defeated Savin. Maxwell "Chicago" Alvarez defeated Dallas Riley. T-Bolt defeated Zane "Twisted One" Stevens. In a GAWF Junior Heavyweight Title match, Cameron Thomas retained the title by defeating A.J. Strokes. In a GAWF tag title match, the Hotbodies, w/Midnight Lace, retained by defeating the team of Jack Tatum & "Mr. Education" Bobby Sanford. Buff Bagwell defeated "The Featured Presentation" Steve Goins to become the new GAWF heavyweight champion. The next GAWF show will be on August 10 at 6pm.

The results from NWA South Atlantic Championship Wrestling’s "August Armageddon" on August 2 in Orlando, FL: Brandon Groom & Xavier Night defeated the C&S Connection. SWAT Patrol defeated Rico Moon & Manson to become the #1 contenders for the tag title. Pretty Boy Lloyd defeated Joe Woods & Mike Cruz to become the #1 contender for the Heavyweight title. Freestyle defeated Ethan Icon. Redskull defeated Gus Money to become the new NWA-SA X Division champion. The match for the NWA-SA heavyweight title between champion Bobby Bonecrusher & The Black Knight went to a time limit draw.
