ProElite Signs New Fighters, Five Number Ones

Cyborg, Sexton and Coenen lead list of top females

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 23, 2008 -- ProElite, Inc. (OTC:PELE) today announced recent signings of a new stable of top talent for its EliteXC mixed martial arts (MMA) series. The group includes ten of the world's top fighters - including five number one ranked combatants - all of whom have signed exclusive deals to compete under the EliteXC banner.

"A key part of our success going forward is to sign the world's most talented, exciting fighters and grow with them," said ProElite Head of Fight Operations Jeremy Lappen. "This group of men and women gives us a unique pipeline of future stars in our sport. We are really excited about their prospects."

The new fighters on EliteXC's team who carry number one ranks are:

-- Cris "Cyborg" Santos - Aggression and charisma combine in this undefeated package to make Santo the number fighter in South America.

-- Rosi Sexton - The UK's number one female, this submission maven is 9-1, her only loss coming to American Gladiator Gina Carano.

-- Mamed Khalidov - A flashy, well-rounded cage fighter, his 14-3 record has catapulted him to the top of Europe's 205 lb. weight class.

-- Alexander Shelemko - The 2005 World Pancration Champion, Alexander is 21-3 and no one tops him in his native Russia at the 185lb weight class.

-- Hector Lombard - This Olympic Judo competitor has parlayed his extraordinary moves into Australia's number one 185 lb. MMA ranking.

ProElite also signed Kelly Kobold, who will put her 16-2-1 record on the line next month against Gina Carano on EliteXC's Saturday Night Fights on CBS. Kimbo Slice headlines the Oct. 4 live telecast in a highly anticipated bout with MMA legend Ken Shamrock.

In addition Kobold, the company nabbed MMA legend Debi Purcell, the first woman ever to win at King of the Cage; undefeated former Canadian Champ Sarah Kaufman; top ranked female Marloes Coenen of Europe; and established world class welterweight John Alessio.
