World Wrestling Entertainment will be at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena in Jamestown, NY, for a tri-branded show. Advertised: Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, Mark Henry, Tony Atlas, Matt Hardy, Shelton Benjamin, Kofi Kingston, Triple H, the Big Show, CM Punk, MVP, Kane, Carlito, and the Great Khali. Bell time is 7:30 PM.

WWE results from the tri-branded event at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY, on September 5: Evan Bourne over Chavo Guerrero; Santino Marella & Beth Phoenix over Kofi Kingston & Kelly Kelly, to retain the WWE Inter-Continental Heavyweight and Women’s Titles, respectively; Primo Colon over William Regal; Shelton Benjamin over Ron Killings and Carlito in a three-way to retain the WWE US Heavyweight Title; Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, Jr., over Cryme Tyme to retain the WWE World Tag Team Title; Mark Henry over Matt Hardy with help from Tony Atlas to retain the ECW Heavyweight Title; and Rey Mysterio, Triple H & the Big Show over Kane, MVP & the Great Khali.

Also on the bill are Jay Lethal, Eric Young, Traci Brooks; Johnny Devine, Roxxi Laveaux, Sonjay Dutt, Rhino, Abyss, and Awesome Kong. Bell time is 7:00 PM.

TNA results from the Capitol One Bank Theater in Westbury, NY, on September 5: Jay Lethal over Sonjay Dutt; Petey Williams over Consequences Creed; Beer Money, Inc., over Eric Young & Johnny Devine; Christian Cage over Booker T; Team 3D over Abyss & Rhino in a tables match; and Samoa Joe over Kurt Angle to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Title.

Mick Foley was at the show in Westbury. Although it is not set in stone, one source says we shouldn’t expect Foley to become involved in a major way before the No Surrender PPV.

Ultimate Fighting Championship’s UFC 88 takes place at Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA, tonight for a live PPV, beginning at 7:00 PM. NAWA Ring Champions has announced that comedian Al Ernst, "The E-Man" will be the master of ceremonies for tonight’s show at The Purks in Cedartown, GA. Ernst has done over 150 TV and radio Interviews including 60 Minutes, HBO's Stand-Up and John Boy & Billy. Ernst is also a former pro wrestler, often billed as The Wrestling Comedian. There will also be a special appearance by wrestling legend, Louie Tillet. Advertised matches include Former NWA World Champion, Ronnie Garvin & Air Paris vs. The Nightmare & David Young, The Natural Born Killers (Chase Stevens & Adam Armor) vs. Thunder & Lightning, Nigel Sherrod defends the Ladies Championship against Bambi, Bulldog Raines vs. Simon Sermon, and Frankie Valentine vs. Stupid (with Tweety). The Georgia Christian Wrestling Federation will be having an event at The Cedartown Boys & Girls Club in Cedartown, GA, tonight. The special guest will be "The Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff. Also making a guest appearance will be Erik Watts and from America's Got Talent, Holly Hardin. Advertised: Darryll Hall vs. Billy Havoc. Jay Bird & Fast Eddie vs. Texas Ranger. Prime Time Pro Wrestling ran a show entitled “Collision Course” last night in Columbus, GA. It was their fourth weekly show since taking over the old GCW building and their first DVD taping. Rob Adonis beat Frankie Valentine in 4:27. Chris Stevens beat Deathrow (with J. P. Money) in 8:24 to advance to a three-way for the PTPW Heavyweight Championship. Jake Slater & Josh Stone beat Southside Trash (Rowdy & Raunchy) to win the PTWP Tag Team Titles in 6:50. Vordell Walker beat Bulldog Raines in a Dog Collar Match in 7:45. Rock ‘n Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) beat Simon Sermon & Thomas Britain in 9:57. Colt Derringer beat Elix Skipper and Chris Stevens in an elimination match to retain the PTPW Heavyweight Title in 13:14. Click here for a full report.

Chris Lightning & Chris Ganz defeats Kid Ego & Scott Prater. Terry Lawler & Air Paris w/Spanky Emerson defeats Mark Pain & John Arden. The Nightmare defeats Kyle Matthews. "Spanky" Chris Emerson wins the battle royal.

The New Frontier Wrestling Association has reported that all upcoming NFWA dates have been canceled until the company can find a new location to run shows. The regular NFWA location, the Franklin National Guard Armory, recently decided to no longer allow wrestling events to be held there.

SEPTEMBER 6, 1963 (FRIDAY) – ATLANTA, GA – ATLANTA MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM [P] (Don McIntyre – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Tim Geohagen defeated Tito Kopa > Chief Little Eagle defeated Billy Hines > Women’s Southern Title Match: Cora Combs* defeated Sherri Lee > Joe Scarpa defeated Bill Dromo > World Tag Team Title Match: Kurt & Karl Von Brauner* and Lenny Montana & Tarzan Tyler wrestled to a draw / Notes: Saul Weingeroff managed Kurt & Karl Von Brauner. It is unclear at this time how Cora Combs came to be recognized as Women’s Southern Champion. The last reference we have shows Judy Grable defending the title against Rita Cortez on March 20, 1961, in Augusta. The Von Brauners had been billed as World Tag Team Champions since August 2, 1963. In the program for this card, there is a mention of the recent passing of Jim Wright, who died on August 2, 1963, and Bulldog Lawley. Also in the program, Weingeroff announced his candidacy for the Presidency of the United States, running on the National Culture party ticket. He claimed that if he should win he would force schools to teach the German language; have the Von Brauners appointed to head a new cabinet position, the Physical Fitness Department; force all men to shave their heads; and all male wrestling fans would be forced to wear coats and ties, whereas the women would have to wear evening gowns. It was announced that Marcel Semard would be wrestling Pee Wee Lopez on the card on September 20, 1963.

It was announced that Gene Kiniski would be wrestling the Professional on the card on September 13, 1968, and that Paul DeMarco would be wrestling on the same card.
