NEWS and NOTES
World Wrestling Entertainment has tonight off, but SmackDown/ECW has events tomorrow in Columbus, OH, and Bowling Green, KY, on Monday, before embarking on a European tour that will take them through Portugal, Spain, Austria, and Germany. The RAW crew will be in Cincinnati, OH, Monday night, and then head to Spain and France. All of them return to the states next Sunday in time for shows the following day.
WWE has announced that the RAW/ECW crews will be at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC, on December 1.
Total Nonstop Action is idle until next weekends house show events in Miami and Lakeland, FL.
TNA has announced the following events: October 31 in Ontario, CA, at the Citizens Business Bank Arena; November 1 in Anaheim, CA, at the Anaheim Convention Center; and November 2 in Bakersfield, CA, at the Bakersfield Dome.
TNA is also hosting a fanfest at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, IL, on October 11, boasting of more than fifty TNA personalities for four hours of photos, autographs, Q&A sessions, etc., beginning at 11:00 AM. Tickets for this event are still available.
According to TNA, the Dublin, Ireland, event on the January tour of the United Kingdom is sold out.
Ring of Honor will be at the New Alhambra Arena in Philadelphia, PA, on September 20, for “Glory by Honor VII.” Advertised: Austin Aries, Mark & Jay Briscoe versus Delirious, Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black, with Necro Butcher as a wild card entry, in the return of steel cage warfare; Nigel McGuinness defends the ROH World Heavyweight Title against El Generico; Claudio Castagnoli versus Kensuke Sasaki; Bryan Danielson versus Katsuhiko Nakajima; Brent Albright defends the NWA World Heavyweight Title against Adam Pearce, with Larry Sweeney; Go Shiozaki defends the FIP Heavyweight Title against Kevin Steen; Jerry Lynn versus Kenny King; Erick Stevens versus Rhett Titus; and Chris Hero & Eddie Edwards versus Jigsaw & Ruckus. Located at 1214 B Louisville Highway in Millersville, The SAW Mill is just three miles from the Rivergate exit on I-65. The events begins at 8 PM, and tickets are $10.00.
