NEW YORK, NY (September 29, 2008)—VERSUS, the network that celebrates real competition and the exclusive cable television home of World Extreme Cagefighting® (WEC®), will air WEC’s Greatest Knockouts, an hour-long special that features the hardest-hitting knockouts in WEC history on Wednesday, October 1, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
The special presentation will feature the top knockouts to date in the WEC organization's history and will include three knockouts from the live WEC event on February 13 when Rob McCullough succumbed to Jamie Varner, Leonard Garcia overpowered Hiroyuki Takaya and Yoshiro Maeda put the beat down to Charlie Valencia. Also featured in the hour is “The All American” Brian Stann’s knockout over Doug Marshall in March 2008, in which Stann claimed the light heavyweight title and two standouts from 2007 including Brock Larson’s defeat of Kevin Knabjian and Brian Bowles knockout of Marcos Galvao.
