Exceptional Ratings For CBS-TV Saturday Night Fights Boost MMA, ProElite

LOS ANGELES, Oct 15, 2008 -- ProElite, Inc. (OTC: PELE) Head of Fight Operations Jeremy Lappen said today that the ratings performance of the company's EliteXC card on the October 4th broadcast of CBS EliteXC Saturday Night Fights is indicative of the growing popularity of mixed martial arts (MMA) among young adults and demonstrates the sustained interest that comes with highly competitive bouts between the sport's top professionals.

"The TV ratings affirmed our long term business strategy," Lappen said. "We have been intent on signing the most talented prospects in the MMA space figuring that contests between the best and most exciting fighters will produce great TV and the potential for solid business returns."

The CBS telecast attracted more adult viewers age 18-34 than college football and the Major League Baseball playoffs aired in the same time slot that night by rival networks. It also was the night's number one program among the important young male adult demographic on both broadcast and cable. In all, more than 4.5 million viewers tuned in for the fights.

Lappen said that the evening was a boost for EliteXC, noting that the huge television audience coupled with a packed arena gave the company a surge of confidence. In addition, Lappen felt that MMA would benefit in general from the exposure that the telecast gave to MMA superstars like Gina Carano and Jake Shields.

"Carano definitely has star power," Lappen said. "Her mere presence in the arena electrified the crowd and caused a big increase for TV viewers. She is to our sport what Danica Patrick is to NASCAR: a highly skilled athlete at the top of her sport and a huge cross over star. She's helping to introduce the sport and the other fighters to a whole new fan base."

Commenting on the night in its entirety, Lappen said, "It was an action-packed night of fights, and I have no doubt that the fans will continue to tune-in to see what will happen next. We continue to be excited about the future of EliteXC and mixed martial arts."

Next up for EliteXC and ProElite is the completion of the "Champions of the Cage" series airing Sundays nights all this month on the Fox Sports Network; and then the year-end EliteXC show, "A Night of Champions," airing on Showtime Networks November 8th.
