I Know That I Don't Work, Or Anything, But This Is Important

As of today, Art Shimko has resigned from the staff of Combat Hooligans.

Art's life is simply taking him in a different direction and coverage of combat sports isn't high on his current list of agendas.

Sure, he could've pulled a Ric Gillespie, and remained on in name only, but that's not what he chose to do.

I definitely understand his choice, even though the selfish part of me wanted him to not go through with it.

I'll miss his journalistic contributions, but won't mourn the loss. I'll instead, choose to remember what he left us with.

Art's not completely saying good-bye, however, as he not only remains a very good friend to each of us, he's decided, time permitting, to join us for the occasional podcast, and while I don't do the "fantasy sports" thing, he'll still be part of those things (with the remaining Hooligans).

Thanx, Art, and no matter where you are, you'll always be one of us ... Even if you wouldn't dare admit it in public.
