Tuesday night’s debut of Dan Masters Live, brought to you by Georgia Wrestling History’s GWH Radio Network, was co-piloted by Nigel Sherrod, who joined Masters to talk about a multitude of subjects. Masters also featured a pre-taped segment he did earlier with Rob Van Dam. John Cannon and Larry Goodman, as well as Dave Wills, also chimed in on the show. Click here for the archive.
Tonight’s edition of Peach State Pandemonium, with hosts Rich Tate and Les Thatcher, along with Tim Dix, presents opinion-based commentary on top stories across the world of pro wrestling and will be joined by J.J. Dillon. We will also have a special announcement. The show begins at 9:00 PM ET, and is also presented by the GWH Radio Network.
World Wrestling Entertainment results from the RAW/ECW house show at the Rapides Parish Coliseum in Alexandria, LA, on January 5: Carlito & Primo Colon over Brian Kendrick & Ezekiel Jackson; Nikki Bella over Natalya; Kizarny over MVP; Umaga over Edge; Vladimir Kozlov over Jimmy Wang Yang; Shelton Benjamin over Hurricane Helms and R-Truth in a three-way match; and the Undertaker over the Big Show in a cage match.

The last reference we have shows Luke Graham defending the title against Bob Morrow on December 18, 1963, in Columbus.
JANUARY 7, 1966 (FRIDAY) – ATLANTA, GA – ATLANTA MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM [P] (Paul Jones – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Al Costello & Louie Tillet defeated Ken Hollis & Derrell Cochran > Eric & Karl Von Brauner defeated Bruce Austin & Silento Rodriguez > Mario Galento & Chief Little Eagle defeated Don Carson & Chin Lee > $1,000 Challenge Match: Dale Lewis defeated Sputnik Monroe / Notes: Bruce Austin & Silento Rodriguez substituted for Billy & Bad Boy Hines in the match with Eric & Karl Von Brauner. Saul Weingeroff managed the Von Brauners. Dale Lewis put up $1,000 in the match with Sputnik Monroe, betting he could not be pinned within the first thirty minutes. According to the program for this card, Roy Elrod had replaced Howard Haire as Commissioner. On this same night, Gene Kiniski won the NWA World Heavyweight Champion when he defeated Lou Thesz on January 7, 1966, in St. Louis, MO.

JANUARY 7, 1972 (FRIDAY) – ATLANTA, GA – ATLANTA MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM [P] (Paul Jones – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Battle Royal: Haystacks Calhoun defeated Mr. X, Klondike Bill, Bill Dromo, Buddy Colt, Oki Shikina, Karl Von Stroheim, Dick Steinborn, Bob Armstrong, Billy Spears, Flash Monroe, Bill White, Joe Turco, the Champ, Cisco Grimaldo, El Mongol, Jimmy Dancing Bear, Alex Medina, Pat Kelly, and Mike Kelly > Haystacks Calhoun defeated Buddy Colt / Notes: It was reported that the purse for the battle royal was $2,500. Assassin #1 managed Karl Von Stroheim and Mr. X. According to the program for this card, Paul Jones was still in St. Joseph’s Infirmary, but was showing signs of improvement. El Mongol participated in an autograph session for fans.

Rock Hunter managed Abdullah the Butcher. The match between Bob Armstrong and Abdullah the Butcher ended when Pak Song charged the ring and attacked both Abdullah and Rock Hunter. Armstrong saved the Butcher from the attack, and Abdullah found himself being cheered.
