TUFF-N-UFF PRESIDENT’S DAY DUAL IN THE DESERT!

Fight Headliners Include Ryan Couture and 2004 Playboy Model of the Year Latasha Marzolla

LAS VEGAS – January 21, 2009 – The road to the Tuff-N-Uff MMA World Championships start February 15 in a headliner packed President’s Day Dual in the Desert. In the men’s headline bout, Ryan Couture will take to the Tuff-N-Uff ring for the first time fighting for the honor of Xtreme Couture against Art Martinez of Team Fubar. Meanwhile the female headline bout will feature 2004 Playboy Model of the Year Latasha Marzolla transitioning her K1 kickboxing experience to MMA in the Tuff-N-Uff ring against Sarah Weeks in a 130 pound bout. In K1, fighting under the name Venus, Marzolla was 6-3 with 1 KO. Meanwhile Sarah Weeks is eager to return to the ring to fight again after her pounding January Tuff-N-Uff fight when she defeated Clarissa Calibuso by TKO in the 2nd round.

Two eight-man tournaments will start the road on February 15 with the winners advancing to fight March 27th and the championship titles on April 24th

In the first round of the 155 pound championship tournament, Chaz Mulkey will take on Christian Palencia; Odis Ruiz will square off against Maurice Senters and Rich St. Claire will fight Eric Bosley. Kyle Atkinson from the Nellis air force base will take on Alex Memar fighting out of J-Sect. Meanwhile in the first round of the 170 pound championship tournament, jiu-jitsu master Bill Cooper will take on Muay Thai specialist, Danny Davis in the first round. Tony Aguirre will meet Tait Lund; Alan Joubain will battle Kenny Marzolla; Joshua Morgan takes on Tommy Phelps. The event is currently scheduled for 17 fights and the card is subject to change. Tickets are on sale for $25 for general admission and $50 for reserved seating. However, Las Vegas locals can get advance tickets for only $20 at Las Vegas Nutrition Center. Previous Tuff-N-Uff events have sold out and tickets for this headliner-packed event are already going fast, so get your tickets early. Doors open at 6pm, first bell is at 7pm.
