Image Entertainment Signs DVD Distribution Agreement For Rights To World Extreme Cagefighting(R) (WEC(R))

ALDO vs. FABER to Be First Title Released on July 20

CHATSWORTH, Calif., May 13, 2010 -- Image Entertainment, Inc. (OTC: DISK.PK), one of the largest independent home entertainment distributors in North America and acknowledged pioneer of the multi-billion dollar optical disc industry, announced today the signing of a long-term distribution agreement with World Extreme Cagefighting(R) (WEC(R)). The agreement allows Image the exclusive US and Canadian DVD and Blu-Ray rights for select WEC fights. Bill Bromiley, Chief Acquisitions Officer of Image Entertainment today made the announcement.

Image plans to release the first title "ALDO vs. FABER" on July 20, 2010, following the historic pay-per-view event held on April 24, 2010 in Sacramento, Calif. In one of the most explosive featherweight title fights ever, champion and top pound-for-pound fighter Jose Aldo battled former world titleholder "The California Kid" Urijah Faber in front a record-breaking crowd of over 14,000 fans. The evening also included lightweight champion Ben Henderson against Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone in a rematch of their 2009 Fight of the Year. Plus, Leonard Garcia waged war with "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung in what commentator Joe Rogan called "the fight of the decade." The July DVD and Blu-ray release will include all 11 fights, as well as additional footage and special features not seen anywhere else.
