Funk's Corner - NWA FanFest Weekend And The Next !BANG! TV Taping

This will be a rare occasion that Terry and I will be together at the same event. I am looking forward to meeting and talking with the wrestling fans who have supported me throughout my career.

Skandor Akbar, Knows more about Texas High School Football than the Texas High School Football Magazine, Who won the Greenbelt Bowl in Childress, Texas in 1958 and who turned pro-wrestler 5 years later?

Joe Blanchard played football at Kansas State University winning over Nebraska. What famous legend played for Nebraska at the time?

Tully Blanchard (West Texas State University) played his greatest game against Tampa University. Who won the game? I wrestled Tully in San Antonio defending the NWA World Championship in a 1 hour match. What did Tully say after the match?

My first match with Danny Hodge was on Amarillo TV. We wrestled the full hour on television. My next match with Danny was defending the NWA World Championship. Where?

Working the Calgary Territory as NWA World Champion, I wrestled Billy Robinson to 6 consecutive 1 hour time limit matches. The longest trip of my professional wrestling career by car was Billy, Myself and Dave Rhul traveling from Saskatoon Saskatchewan to Calgary. A clogged fuel filter extended the trip to 17 hours. A Marle Haggard Cassette tape and more than a case of Molson's Cream Porter and Labatt's Ale kept us going. We arrived in Calgary in time to wrestle, Billy and I. What do you think the result of match number 7 was?
