Owned Entertainment Announces Casting Of MMA Fighters Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua And Murilo ‘Ninja’ Rua In The MMA Movie ‘Owned’

AUSTIN, Texas -- 02/04/2008 -- Owned Entertainment, Inc. announced today that Mixed Martial Arts and UFC fighter Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and his brother, former EliteXC Champion Murilo ‘Ninja’ Rua, have been cast in the MMA movie ‘Owned.’ Mr. Hergott and Mr. Alfio comment; “We are thrilled to be able to bring the brothers exciting fighting style to the big screen. Their characters will be involved in a number of fast paced and realistic action sequences.”

About Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and Murilo ‘Ninja’ Rua

Mauricio Milani "Shogun" Rua is a mixed martial arts fighter, and the winner of the PRIDE Fighting Championships' 2005 Middleweight (205lb) Grand Prix. He holds notable wins over Ricardo Arona, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Quinton Jackson, Alistair Overeem, and Kazuhiro Nakamura and is known for his aggressive fighting style and excellent versatility. He currently fights in the UFC where his next opponent will be Chuck ‘The Iceman’ Liddell.

Murilo "Ninja" Rua is a mixed martial artist from the world renowned Chute Boxe Academy. He currently fights in EliteXC. He is known for his well-rounded fighting skills, in particular Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Rua is a veteran of PRIDE Fighting Championships, where he once enjoyed a reputation as one of the strongest middleweights in the world. "Ninja" fights at 185 pounds, but has also fought at 205 pounds and heavyweight. He is the former Elite XC middleweight champion.
