Jason Static, the leader of Best Bodies, Inc. has been the most dominant force in VPW history has been successfully defending his VPW Championship month after month. Now may come one of his greatest challenges yet as he is scheduled to take on TNA Star Shark Boy. By watching TNA Impact every week on television, that Shark Boy will be coming to VPW to whoop somebody, drink some clam juice and ask the fans to give him a “Shell yeah!” When asked for comment, the champion said the following, “A fish? I’m wrestling a guy who thinks he’s a fish? Look at me and look at my muscles. Does anyone think that I need to worry about a guy who thinks he’s a fish?” Jason Static certainly looks to be underestimating his very capable opponent. Static’s overconfidence may very well be his downfall. As usual, Shark Boy will have to be wary of Static’s partners, Sabotage and Joe So Delicious. They have proven time and time again that they will do anything to make sure that Jason Static remains champion. To counter them, Shark Boy will have Don Tony in his corner. The main man of the OZHB always has tricks up his sleeves and nobody should count him out when it comes to watching the back of whoever he’s managing. Will Jason Static’s title reign finally come to an end?? Will Shark Boy become the new VPW Champion?? Will Don Tony get his revenge on Jason Static?? Find at on Friday night, May 16th!!!!

On May 16th, history will be made and VPW will crown its first ever Tag Team Champions. Witness a grueling one night tournament that will feature 8 tag teams all fighting for one prize. Only one team can walk out of the building wearing the gold and each of these teams will do anything to ensure victory!!!

Eclipse has been destroying every team that has crossed their path from day one. The self-proclaimed resurrection of tag team wrestling has been waiting for this day since VPW’s first event. Since that time, nobody has survived Jay Delta and Xandar Page. Both men feel that May 16th is the night their destiny is fulfilled. Will Eclipse cement their claim as the top tag team in VPW??

The Funky Fresh Boyz are actually a brand new team that will be debuting on May 16th. There is not much known about the members of Funky Fresh, but there is no better way to make a debut than to win gold on your first night. Can Funky Fresh make history??

Justin Toxic and EJ Risk, collectively known as Pretty Poison, have not been in VPW for as long as some of the other teams, but everyone already has their eyes on this hot tag team. Despite their cocky attitudes, Toxic and Risk have already proven themselves in a VPW ring. Nothing would make these men happier than having yet another thing to brag about. Can 2008 be their year??

The SAT has not been seen in a VPW ring in a long time, but their track record speaks volumes. Looking back at the history of Jose and Joel Maximo, tag team gold seems to be a common occurrence. The SAT have worked all over the world and would surely love to add the VPW Tag Team Championship to their long list of accolades. Will the SATs championship resume grow once more??

Best Bodies, Inc. has been dominating everyone in their path for a very long time. Their leader, Jason Static, is currently the VPW Champion. The remaining members, Joe So Delicious and Sabotage are as greedy for the gold as Static is, and they are ready to control all of the championships in VPW. Will May 16th be the night that Best Bodies, Inc. completely take over??

Chopsaw and Nightmare could be seen as the wild card team in this tournament. While both have teamed up before, it’s never been in the form of a traditional tag team. This could be seen as a disadvantage since Chopsaw and Nightmare don’t have the teaming experience as many of the other teams do, but both men have been training hard and long in to the night for this tournament. The x-factor for this team has to be Gina Bella. Bella has been popping in at ringside during Chopsaw’s recent matches, and has clearly been a distraction for the once focused Chopsaw. Will Nightmare and Chopsaw be able to overcome the odds??

The Suburban SWAT Team have been itching to get back in the ring with Eclipse, especially after Joey Everlast was kidnapped at the last event. Unfortunately for the SST, they will have to hope to encounter Eclipse in the tournament in a later round. It almost appears that the SST are more concerned with getting revenge on Eclipse than winning the tournament. Will the Suburban SWAT Team be able to focus on the gold and hold off on the revenge??

JMS and VSK, Livewired, have quickly become one of VPWs most popular and successful tag teams. These two men electrify the crowd night after night. Becoming the first VPW Tag Team Champions would likely be what takes Livewired to the next level. Will they be able to do it??

Mack Daddy Flexx vs. Zombie

After careful deliberation, VPW officials have decided that both Zombie and Mack Daddy Flexx are worthy of a return match against VPW Champion Jason Static. Unfortunately for them only one person can get the title shot. This match will find out exactly who the true number one contender is. There is no doubt that both of these big men want not only the VPW Championship, but revenge on Static himself. Who will walk out the number one contender?? Find out on May 16th.

“The Good Guy” Azrieal vs. Minyon vs. “Firebird” Jorge Santi vs. “Smooth Operator” Mike Gallagher vs. “The Miracle” Javi-Air vs. Richie Tyler

Six of VPW’s best will be going at it with one fall to a finish. This match will showcase a mixture of VPW’s best mat technicians and high-flyers. All of these participants are looking for a big win and May 16th is as good a night as any. Azrieal and Richie Tyler are making their VPW returns for the first time in 2008. Everybody else in the match is looking to establish or reestablish themselves in VPW. Expect the unexpected in this match!!!

Other VPW News:

Greg “The Hammer” Valentine will be the special guest on the Jerry Fitzwater Show. Word has it that someone from the VPW locker room is already looking to crash the Jerry Fitzwater Show. Head of Fitzwater Security, Mikey will surely have his hands full this time.

Nick Noshus will not be appearing live at the VPW event, but rumor has it that Noshus will be delivering a message to the fans as well as VPW management at some point during the night.

VTG Enterprises will be in Centereach, but as of now, none of Vinny the Guido’s crew has scheduled matches. Could their exclusion cause VTG Enterprises to place themselves in a match?? Will VTG Enterprises be crashing the party??

All VPW DVDs will be on sale at the next show, including the out the much talked about 2 Year Anniversary Show from March which saw an insane New York Street Fight that nearly brought the building down.
