NEWS

World Wrestling Entertainment’s RAW crew will be at the Chevrolet Centre in Youngstown, OH, tonight. The SmackDown/ECW will be at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, NH. WWE has changed the date of the SmackDown/ECW event at the Sovereign Center in Reading, PA, originally planned for August 11, to December 15. Tickets for the following WWE events go on sale tomorrow: August 22 in Bridgeport, CT, at the Arena at Harbor Yard; August 30 in Jonesboro, AR, at the Arkansas State University Convocation Center; and September 9 in Milwaukee, WI, at the Bradley Center. Total Nonstop Action will be at the Crown Center Coliseum in Fayetteville, NC, tonight. TNA has announced an event at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario, Canada, on September 13. Bell time will be 8:00 PM. Tickets go on sale on August 1. (Rich Tate)

Great Championship Wrestling results from July 24 in Phenix City, AL, at the GR8 SK8 Plex, with a reported attendance of approximately 250: Orion Bishop (with Wicked Nemesis) pinned Tex Monroe. Princeton Gainey III and Zero Tolerance attacked announcer Rob Russo afterward, with Taylor McKnight taking over ring announcing duties. GCW Interstate Champion J-Rod pinned Murder One (with Wicked Nemesis). Tolerance (with Gainey III) pinned "That 80's Guy" John Bogie. Bull Buchanan & Scotty Beach beat Hot Like Lava (GCW Heavyweight Champion Cru Jones & Shaun Banks) to win the GCW Tag Team titles. Johnny Swinger & Sonny Siaki (with Tracy Taylor) beat David Young & Micah Taylor. After the main event, Young challenged Siaki to a tables, ladders, and chairs match. GCW announced at last night’s show that the Fifth Annual Fred Ward Memorial would take place on September 4, and that Young vs. Siaki in a TLC Match would take place there. Also, there will be a "Fans Vote the Stipulation" match. Beginning July 31, every paid admission will get a form for which he/she can vote for the stipulation of the GCW Tag Team Championship match. Each Saturday, the results will be tallied and posted on the GCW website so fans can keep up to date on the match. GCW plans to send this information to GWH so we may post it as well. Supercade Wrestling results from the National Guard Armory in Wellford, SC, on July 24: Steven Vaughn over Dylan Dollar in 4:00 (Dollar had pinned Vaughn after using a chain in 3:51, but when Dollar’s arm was raised in victory, the chain fell and the referee restarted the match); Squeaks Da Clown over Bobby Diamond by disqualification in 7:58 when Dash Riprock hit Squeaks with an umbrella; Michael Adonis over Red Dogg in 6:32; Ken Magnum over Heath Havok in 8:19; in a three-way, Krypto over SW Hardcore Champion Matt Burnz and Johnny Danger in 5:22 to win the title; in another three-way title match, Vinnie Valentine over SW US Champion A.J. Frost and Jamie Lee in 11:03 to win the title (Afterward, Lee attacked Valentine and stormed off with the belt); SW Heavyweight Champion Satisfaction Adam Jaxon defeated Nick Fury in 9:32 to retain the title.
