World Wrestling Entertainment will be at the Rockford Metro Centre in Rockford, IL, for a tri-branded show tonight.

WWE is passing along best wishes on future endeavors to the following: Steve Richards, Cherry, Colin Delaney, the Highlanders, and referee Wes Adams.

Tickets for the following WWE events go on sale tomorrow: September 16 in Nashville, TN, at the Sommet Center; October 5 in Portland, OR, at the Rose Garden, for the No Mercy PPV; October 12 in San Bernardino, CA, at the Coussoulis Arena; October 13 in Anaheim, CA, at the Honda Center; October 28 in San Diego, CA, at the San Diego Sports Arena; and December 29 in Richmond, VA, at the Richmond Coliseum.

Total Nonstop Action will be at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX, tonight.

TNA results from the Germain Arena in Estero, FL, on August 14: Petey Williams over Consequences Creed; Eric Young over Johnny Devine and Kaz in a three-way; Taylor Wilde over Awesome Kong; Christian Cage over Kip James; Beer Money over the Latin American Xchange; and Samoa Joe over Abyss.

Ring of Honor will be at Gray’s Armory in Cleveland, OH, tonight. Prime Time Pro Wrestling returns to Columbus, GA, tonight at the Event Center with the following advertised matches: PTPW Champion Colt Derringer will defend the title against Robert Gibson, Deathrow will take on Bulldog Raines, the tag team tournament starts with 4 tag teams on the card, Chris Stevens against Mike Pain and Chic Donovan will "teach some wrestling" to battle royal winner Chip Day. Bell time is 7:30pm.

There will be a free wrestling event for the Bartow County Relay for Life at Dellinger Park in Cartersville, GA, on September 5. Matches will begin at 7:45 PM. AUGUST 15, 1969 (FRIDAY) – ATLANTA, GA – ATLANTA MUNICIPAL AUDITORIUM [P] (Paul Jones – Promoter / Georgia Championship Wrestling) > Cyclone Soto defeated El Toro at 6:00 > Roberto Soto and Mr. Ito wrestled to a draw at 15:00 > Ray Gunkel defeated Chati Yokuchi by disqualification at 7:00 > The Super Assassins defeated the Kentuckians > Joe Scarpa, Bill Dromo & the Professional defeated Paul DeMarco & the Assassins at 23:00 / Notes: The Super Manager managed the Super Assassins. In a response to the ultimatum handed down by NWA President Sam Muchnick, stating that Paul Jones resign or force the Super Assassins to leave, the Super Manager issued a counter to the lawsuit pending by the Assassins. He challenged the Assassins to wrestle his Super Assassins for the right to use the name, and even vowed to unmask if his team failed to win the match. The Assassins shot back that it didn’t matter if the Super Manager unmasked, because they already knew he was Mario Galento under a mask. They added that there was no reason to wrestle for the name, when they earned the name many years ago, finishing by telling him they would let it play out in court. Leo Garibaldi was credited as being a referee on this card. It was announced that Danny Miller would be wrestling on the card on August 22, 1969.

Nick Bockwinkel had been the reigning Georgia Television Champion since he defeated Joe Scarpa on June 5, 1970, in Atlanta.
