World Wrestling Entertainment will be at the Athletics-Recreation Center in Valparaiso, IN, for a tri-branded show tonight. We have seen no lineup yet, but the WWE website is advertising Triple H, John Cena, CM Punk, the Great Khali, JBL, Edge, Batista, Jeff Hardy, Kane, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP. Bell time is 7:30 PM.

Down South Hardcore Wrestling returns to Darien, Georgia at Sam's Memorial Multiplex on 230 Blount Crossing Road tonight. Bell time is at 7:15 PM. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for kids 12 and under. In the main event, DSHW United States Heavyweight Champion Dallas Riley will take on DSHW Hardcore Champion Teddy Baddstreet. None of the titles are on the line. Cameron La'Rue will defend the DSHW Championship against AJ Mitchell. In a Man-On-Fire Match, The Strong Style Disciples (Morbid Angel & T-Money) will take on a mystery tagt team. Great Championship Wrestling results for August 14 at the GR8 SK8 Plex in Phenix City, AL, with a reported attendance of approximately 175. GCW Interstate Champion J-Rod pinned Mike Stratus (with Princeton Gainey III). Kareem Abdul Jamar (with That 80's Guy John Bogie) beat Zero Tolerance by disqualification when Princeton Gainey III interfered. Johnny Swinger beat David Young by forfeit. GCW Heavyweight Champion Cru Jones pinned Tex Monroe. The Merchants of Death (Orion Bishop & Murder One with Wicked Nemesis) beat Bull Buchanan & Scotty Beach to win the GCW Tag Team Championship. Micah Taylor (with Diane Hewes) beat Johnny Swinger (with Quentin Michaels & Tracy Taylor) & Sonny Siaki in a handicap match.

Quentin Michaels stated that he booked David Young's flight incorrectly, causing Swinger to win by forfeit. Michaels made Siaki-Taylor a handicap match, and also made Taylor's match at the Fred Ward Memorial a handicap match by naming himself as Swinger's partner. Diane Hewes then came out and said Micah could pick any partner except Tracy, so Micah picked Diane Hewes. Cru Jones and Bull Buchanan interfered in each other's matches. Orion Bishop pulled a fan out of the audience when he heckled Nemesis and gored him in the ring. Hewes and Michaels had an altercation after the show where additional stipulations were made for the Ward Memorial. The footage will be shown on their website.

Mickie Richards defeated Ken Magnum & David J. Donovan in a triple threat match. No Limits John Skyler defeated The Dragon Michael Adonis by DQ. Supercade Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Nick Fury defeated Steven Vaughn. Krypto defeated Dylan Dollar to retain the Supercade Wrestling Hardcore title. Hardcore Johnny Danger and Squeaks Da Clown wrestled to a double DQ. “So Pretty” Vinnie Valentine defeated Twinkle Toes in a four corners match also involving A.J. Frost and Jamie Lee to retain the United States Championship. Matt Burnz defeated Bobby Diamond.

Prime Time Pro Wrestling has announced that they have signed Jerry "The King" Lawler for their September 12 show in Columbus, GA. Lawler will be appearing in the main event that night versus the PTPW Champion, as well as doing personal appearances in Columbus during the day.

Swedish wrestler Ara Abrahamian, who on Thursday threw down his bronze medal and walked out on the ceremony in heel-like fashion, has now been stripped by the International Olympic Committee for his actions. Abrahamian was upset over a disputed penalty call that occurred during his semi-final match against Italy’s Andrea Minguzzi, who ultimately took the gold medal in the Greco-Roman 84 KG division. Abrahamian also lost in the semi-final round under a similar call in the 2004 games.
