World Wrestling Entertainment will be at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY, for a tri-branded show tonight. Bell time is 7:30 PM.

Tickets for the following WWE event on October 11 at the Lawlor Events Center in Reno, NV, go on sale tomorrow.

Total Nonstop Action will be at the Capital One Bank Theater in Westbury, NY, tonight. Advertised: Samoa Joe defends the TNA World Heavyweight Title against Kurt Angle; Abyss & Rhino versus Team 3D in a tables match; and Christian Cage versus Booker T. Also advertised: Beer Money, Inc., Petey Williams, Roxxi Laveaux, Eric Young, Awesome Kong, Jay lethal, Consequences Creed, Sonjay Dutt, Traci Brooks, and Johnny Devine. Bell time is 8:00 PM.

A.J. Styles is scheduled to participate in this year’s Rock the Universe event in Orlando, FL, today and tomorrow. Also part of the event are former Korn guitarist Head, as well as Christian music artists, including Jars of Clay, Third Day, New Method, and many others.

An update on TNA’s No Surrender PPV, which will broadcast live from the General Motors Centre in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, on September 14 at 8:00 PM ET. Advertised: Samoa Joe defends the TNA World Heavyweight Title against Kurt Angle, Booker T, and Christian Cage in a four-way match; Petey Williams defends the TNA X-Division Title against Consequences Creed & Sheik Abdul Bashir in a three-way match; Taylor Wilde defends the TNA Women’s Title against Angelina Love; Jay Lethal versus Sonjay Dutt in a ladder of love match; and the Rock ‘n Rave Infection (Christy Hemme, Lance Rock & Jimmy Rave) versus the Prince Justice Brotherhood (Eric Young, Shark Boy & Curry Man).

Prime Time Pro Wrestling returns to the Event Center in Columbus tonight for "Collision Course," their first DVD taping. Alternative Pro Wrestling returns to action tonight at the Royston, GA, Gym with an advertised Mega Rumble to determine the number one contender for the Anarchy Heavyweight Title held by Shadow Jackson, The Royston Brawler & Aaron Lee vs. Seth Delay & Chris King and Brandon Parker & Dustin Michaels & vs. Friday Night Franchise (Ryan Michaels & Matt Sells) & Kareem Abdul Jamar. Rick Renslow, who wrestled on the undercards for the AWA in the 1980s, died from cancer on Thursday at 53.

Great Championship Wrestling results from September 4, for the Fred Ward Memorial in Phenix City, AL: John Bogie & Kareem Abdul Jamar beat Merchants of Death (Orion Bishop & Murder One with Wicked Nemesis in a Hardcore Match to win the GCW Tag Team Championship (13:12). Scotty Beach defeated Mike Stratus (with Princeton Gainey III) in 10:17 to win five minutes with Gainey. Princeton Gainey III pinned Scotty Beach in 47 seconds. Sonny Siaki beat Tilo in 29 seconds. J-Rod beat Shaun Banks to retain the GCW Interstate Title in a First Blood Match in 11:56. Cru Jones beat Bull Buchanan in a Bullrope Match to retain the GCW Heavyweight Title in 18:50. Micah Taylor & Diane Hewes beat Johnny Swinger & Quentin Michaels in an All or Nothing Match via twin submissions (16 minutes). Click here for a full report.

It was billed that during the match between Blassie and Gunkel an ambulance would be ready at the door. Although Blassie reportedly injured Gunkel during the bout, it is unknown if the ambulance was needed, and to what extent were the injuries to Gunkel. Bronko Lubich managed Angelo Poffo.

It was announced that Little Bruiser and Billy the Kid would be wrestling in Columbus on September 12, 1973.
