Ring Warriors Returns To Gainesville

Gainesville, Fla. – For the first time in five years professional wrestling returns to the Alachua County Fair in Gainesville, Fla. on Monday, October 20 as RING WARRIORS presents “WRESTLEGROWL ’08” with an 8 p.m. bell time.

Six matches are scheduled with a double main event of former WWE and TNA superstar Dustin Rhodes facing former NWA Florida Heavyweight Champion “Iceman” Buck Q, and former TNA tag team superstars Phi Delta Slam taking on former NWA World Tag Team Champions the Heavenly Bodies (“Casanova” Chris Nelson and “Vivacious” Vito DeNucci).

Also scheduled on the card is “Disco Inferno” Glenn Gilbertti taking on Francisco Ciatso, former WWE Spirit Squad member Mike Mondo going head-to-head with “Modern Miracle” Steve Madison, and The Sheik making his Alachua County Fair debut against “Firefighter” Mike Sullivan.

Not to be outdone by shows past, the Wild Women of Wrestling return to the ring in Gainesville for the first time in many years as the duo of Betsy Ruth & Sybil Pageant face the tandem of Jessika Haze and Kimberly. There will also be a special appearance and photo opportunity with Terri Runnels before the show and at intermission.

The Alachua County Fair has a long tradition of presenting RING WARRIORS/NWA shows dating back to 1994. Some of the past stars who have appeared on these cards include: Dan “the Beast” Severn, Rob Van Dam, Johnny Ace, Junkyard Dog, “Firecat” Brady Boone, Hercules Hernandez, Lou Perez, Bugsy McGraw, the Masked Superstar, “Party Animal” Steve Collins, Greg “the Hammer” Valentine, B. Brian Blair, Steve Keirn, The Blackhearts and Luna Vachon, Jeff Peterson, The Shane Brothers and Ron Niemi, “Exotic” Adrian Street and Miss Linda, Pepe Prado, Typhoon, Penelope Paradise, Malia Hosaka, Bambi, The Cuban Assassin, and “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes among many, many others.
