SACRAMENTO, Calif., Oct. 29 -- OBSNews.com -- Mixed martial arts (MMA) has been sweeping America by storm and Sacramento's Memorial Auditorium will host PureCombat MMA's event, "Halloween Bash" this coming Saturday, November 1, 2008 Veteran MMA promoter Al Joslin has been promoting MMA events since 1996 and launched PureCombat MMA (http://www.PureCombatMMA.com) in 2007 to great fan acceptance and a number of heavily attended events here in California's central valley.

The Bouts: An Exciting Evening of MMA Action

Joslin has lined up between 10 and 13 fights that start at 7PM on Saturday night with a number of local fighters like Chris David, Steve Renaud, Drew Montgomery, Richard Blake and Kenneth Alexander. Chris David will be fighting David Granados of Merced, CA for the right to be the promotions' inaugural Bantamweight Champion at 135 lbs.

Another signature fight of the night promises to be that of Kenneth "the Machine" Alexander who trains with coach Urijah Faber out of Faber's' Sacramento-based Ultimate Fitness Training Center. Kenneth who just came off an extremely well fought loss to Razor Rob McCullough in a WEC event, will be taking on David Gardner out of Dan Henderson's Team Quest in Temecula CA.

Also in the exciting lineup will be a women's MMA bout featuring Jennifer Tate whose professional experience goes back to June of 2006. After the EliteXC promotion's recent downfall, fans of ladies mixed martial arts have had few opportunities to hope to see women compete live and via online PPV events. PureCombat MMA promoter Joslin said of women's involvement with mixed martial arts, "We honor the warrior spirit in all fighters, men and women. We celebrate the courage, the discipline, and the many years of training that all of our fighters have embraced."

Open Weigh-In and After Party

The public is invited to attend the often unpredictable and exciting fighters' weigh-in on Halloween evening this Friday at the Clarion Mansion Hotel in Downtown Sacramento at 700 16th Street. Also on the fun list of things to do will be the official after-party, at the Clarion as well, that will take place immediately after the event.

Tickets for Saturday's fights are available at http://www.PureCombatMMA.com and doors for the event will open at 5:30 P.M. with show time beginning at 7:00 P.M.
