RIP: Jack Reynolds
Earlier today, Jack Reynolds (Joseph Rizzo), who recently had heart-bypass and intestinal surgery, and never fully recovered, died at the age of 71.
Reynolds began announcing wrestling matches near Cleveland in the 1960s (in those days, promotions relied on "legitimate" sports and broadcasting personalities to call their product). His most-notable roles were a stint in Eddie Einhorn's IWA (where, in the mid-1970s, he paired with Tex McKenzie), and his time in the WWF (where, in the 1980s, he joined Jesse Ventura to serve as the original hosts of 'Prime Time Wrestling').
Condolences to Reynolds' family and close friends.
