World Wrestling Alliance 4 results from Atlanta, GA, on October 15: Jake Diamond & Miguel Rivera over Rick King & Mike Black to win the vacant WWA4 Tag Team Title; Jena over Jonathan Davis for the WWA4 Internet Title; and Reece Royale over Bill the Butcher to retain the WWA4 Heavyweight Title. A reported 30 people attended the free show, which features WWA4 school students, trained by Curtis Hughes.

However, she was not considered the undisputed champion until June Byers retired with her title, won in Atlanta on August 20, 1954, in a win over Mildred Burke, until Byers retired in 1964.

The Georgia Heavyweight Title had been held up on September 26, 1970, following a September 25, 1970 match between champions Bobby Shane & Doug Gilbert and the Assassins. Shane & Gilbert had been declared the winners, but the Assassins claimed that the headgear worn by the champions created an unfair advantage. It had been declared vacant on October 10, 1970, with this tournament created to determine new champions. Jack Crawford managed Kubla Khan. Homer O’Dell managed Buddy Colt & Skandor Akbar. Colt had been the reigning Georgia Heavyweight Champion since he defeated Nick Bockwinkel on September 4, 1970, in Atlanta. Eddie Smith was credited as being a referee for this card.
