Adam Pearce will be replacing Gabe Sapolsky, who was let go over the weekend as booker for Ring of Honor. ROH owner Cary Silkin wants to take the company, which has seen losses grow since moving from a primarily DVD sales driven promotion to more focus on house shows, in a new direction, acknowledging the product as it is does not have enough mass appeal.

Pearce’s reign as NWA World Heavyweight Champion, considerably shorter than his last, came to an end in Mexico City, Mexico, on Saturday night, when he lost on a worked controversial finish to Blue Demon, Jr.

ROH has added Samoa Joe for a “one-time-only” appearance at the Frontier Fieldhouse in Chicago Ridge, IL, on November 22. This event will be taped for a PPV. Advertised: Nigel McGuinness versus Bryan Danielson; and Jimmy Jacobs versus Austin Aries in an ‘I Quit” match.

ROH has also announced that Kenny King, with a partner to be named later, versus Mark & Jay Briscoe will be on the card at the Centre Jean-Claude Malepart in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on November 7. Other matches previously advertised: a four-way elimination match for the ROH World Heavyweight Title featuring champion Nigel McGuinness, Kevin Steen, El Generico, and Go Shiozaki; Bryan Danielson & Austin Aries versus Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black for a shot at the ROH World Tag Team Title at the November 21 event in Dayton, OH; Jerry Lynn versus Delirious; Roderick Strong versus Davey Richards, with Larry Sweeney.
