World Wrestling Entertainment’s RAW/ECW crews will be at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC, tonight. Advertised: John Cena versus Kane; John Morrison versus Finlay; and Rey Mysterio versus the Miz.

WWE results from Johnstown, PA, on November 30: the Great Khali over MVP; the Bella Twins over Natalya & Maryse; Tommy Dreamer over Ricky Ortiz; the Big Show over Finlay; Primo Colon & Carlito over John Morrison & the Miz to retain the WWE Tag Team Title; Shelton Benjamin over R-Truth; Jeff Hardy over Edge by disqualification when Vladimir Kozlov attacked Hardy; and in an impromptu match, Hardy & Triple H over Kozlov & Edge.

WWE results from Elmira, NY, on November 29: CM Punk over Santino Marella; Snitsky over Jamie Noble; Beth Phoenix over Candice Michelle to retain the WWE Women’s Title; Cody Rhodes & Manu over Cryme Tyme; Matt Hardy over Mark Henry in an extreme rules match to retain the WWE ECW Heavyweight Title; Rey Mysterio over Mike Knox; and John Cena over Randy Orton to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Title.

WWE has announced the following events: January 10, SmackDown in Poplar Bluff, MO, at the Black River Coliseum; January 11, RAW/ECW in Des Moines, IA, at the Wells Fargo Arena; January 17, SmackDown in Charleston, WV, at the Charleston Civic Center; January 18, SmackDown in Lexington, KY, at the Rupp Arena; January 19, SmackDown in Muncie, IN, at the John E. Worthen Arena; January 24, RAW/SmackDown/ECW in Toledo, OH, at the Savage Arena; and January 31, RAW/ECW in Hammond, IN, at the Hammond Civic Center.

WWE has pulled the ECW crew from all domestic events where they were originally scheduled to work with the SmackDown crew. The only exceptions are where all three brands are scheduled for a WWE “Supershow”. Events affected, now to be strictly SmackDown shows, are as follows: February 1, in Huntsville, AL, at the Von Braun Civic Center; February 10, in Fresno, CA, at the Save Mart Center; February 17, in Portland, OR, at the Rose Garden.

Dave Meltzer has reported that the recent transition to have ECW tape on the same night as the RAW broadcasts, as well as taping two episodes of SmackDown on the same night, is likely to continue through WrestleMania, and could possibly remain in place. Meltzer noted that the switch to this formula of removing the process of taping SmackDown on separate nights saves the company approximately $696,000, excluding the cost for talent. Considering SmackDown had been taping each week, as opposed to the current bi-weekly schedule, that is a savings of about $18.1 million, again excluding talent costs.

Jerkin’ the Curtain will feature Scott Hayes tonight at 11:00 PM ET.
