RIP: Walter "Skip" Wetjen

This is somewhat-dated news and really isn't my field of expertise, so I won't go into great detail, but on November 23, Walter "Skip" Wetjen passed away.

Wetjen, dating back to at least the 1950s, was a referee and longtime promoter in the Gulf Coast area, and is credited with bringing professional wrestling to Mobile, Alabama. I don't know how factual that is (Karl Stern may be of some assistance, and even if not, he'll appreciate the free plug), but, if nothing else, he certainly "opened up" that town.

Wetjen was eighty-three-years-old.
