FIP Tag Team Title Match Update

On February 8th Chasyn Rance of the YRR introduced FIP fans to the new Senior Advisor to the YRR, the enigmatic and controversial Mister Saint Laurent. During the introduction of MSL to the fans they announced that The YRR would be executing their automatic rematch clause on March, 28th against the FIP Tag Team Champions Erick Stevens and Roderick Strong.

In a bit of a twist, when the completed contracts were returned to the FIP offices for review by Larry Zbyszko and the Championship Committee, the names on the Challengers side of the contract were NOT former champions Jason Blade and Kenny King, but were Sal Rinauro and Chasyn Rance.

When told that this was highly unusual during a phone call meant to clarify the wording of the document from Zbyszko, St. Laurent told the director that, “What is unusual is that you people fail to read the contracts you hand out. The original contract was not between Kenny King and Jason Blade and Strong and Stevens; it was between The YRR and those two goofs, and as a result, The YRR of Sal Rinauro and Chasyn Rance will be taking this rematch, and there’s nothing any of you can do about it.”

When informed that their opponents for March 28th would not be former tag champs King and Blade, Erick Stevens replied that he, “has been waiting to get his hands on Sal Rinauro since he screwed me out of the Florida Heritage Title, so this must be my lucky day…Unfortunately for you guys, that means it is going to be a very, very bad day for you two on March 28th…See you boys in Crystal River.”

Tyler Black Medical Update

Tyler Black is continuing to recuperate form the savage beating at the hands of Davey Richards on February 8th. He has an undisclosed upper body injury, believed to be a small tear in the labrum, and a grade 2 separation of his right shoulder caused by the Kimura of Richards.

While the normal recuperative period for an injury of this type is 6 to 8 weeks, Black has been taking his regular bookings for ROH, but has not yet been medically cleared to return to action in Florida for FIP. The FIP Championship Committee is still awaiting the documentation needed from his physicians to clear him for action in the Sunshine State.

FIP Championship Committee Executive Director Larry Zbyszko has stated that he has fined Davey Richards $15,000 and demanded a return of the FIP World Heavyweight Title belt to Tyler Black.

Richards responded, “Sure, I’ll give Tyler his belt back…Tell you what, I’ll have the 15 grand and the belt with me in Crystal River on March 28th, and you can try and take the money from me Larry while Tyler tries to take his belt back…Actually Larry, you can have the money.. The 25 thousand bucks I got from Sean for destroying that punk Tyler Black was the easiest money I ever made.”

“I almost felt bad for taking it, since it was so much fun hearing him scream like a 6 year old girl with a skinned knee while he was in the Kimura. But as for giving Tyler that belt back? Forget about it. He isn’t ever coming back to get it, so I may as well just hang onto it until you decide to do what should be done already, and that’s calling me the UNDISPUTED FIP World Heavyweight Champ”
