King of the Cage and Lake of the Torches Resort Casino Announce Main Events for No Holds Barred Cage Fighting, to be held in Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin.

Lac du Flambeau, Wis., March 10, 2009 -- Lake of the Torches Resort Casino will again play host to mixed martial arts global powerhouse King of the Cage on Saturday, April 4, 2009. Tickets are $35, $45 and $75.

Over 25 professional and amateur cage fighters will roll into the beautiful serenity of La Du Flambeau bringing an arsenal of kicks, punches, knees, submissions and knock outs. There will be no less than 12 hard hitting, No Holds Barred, Mixed Martial Arts Cage Fights in one night.

Fighting in one of four main events is Champion Myles “The Fury” Jury out of Detroit, Michigan. He will be putting his Welterweight King of the Cage Championship belt on the line against heavy handed Karl Kelly.

In another much anticipated main event long in the making, Wisconsinites Ernie Paulson promises to take it to BJJ Black Belt and head instructor of Milwaukee’s Neutral Ground BJJ, Jon “White Trash” Friedland. Both fighters come to the cage with a history of serving up knock outs and killer submissions. This looks to be a
strategic war of talent and experience between two of the top MMA pros in Wisconsin.

In other main events look for KOTC Heavyweight “Cage Quest” Champion and current Racine Fight Night’s Light Heavyweight Champion “Smiling” Sam Alvey of Metz’s Combat Club, Kyle Kennedy and Derek Griffin bringing nothing short of fist of fury into the cage steel as they plan to go big for the Wisconsin fight fans.

Terry Trebilcock, President of King of the Cage commented: “We have a long standing relationship and have done a lot of great fights at Lake of the Torches Casino. Some of the biggest stars in Mixed Martial Arts today have fought here and no doubt the “Insanity” fight card could potentially uncover new talent to put on King of the Cage’s world stage.”

In addition Michael J. Broderick, Director of Marketing for Lake of the Torches remarked: “Once again we are excited to hold this event in our casino for what will no doubt be a phenomenal night of Mixed Martial Arts knock-outs and submissions. We are really excited to once again provide the platform for some of Wisconsin’s best fighters not just in our main events but on the undercards as well. I am especially excited to see 'White Trash,' Alvey, and Paulson fight at Lake of the Torches. They are exceptional representation of the incredible talent pool we have here in this state.”

Also it needs to be noted that two of the top trainers in the world in Damian Metz from Wisconsin’s, Metz Combat Club and renowned trainer Dave Sixel from Team USA and Sixel’s Fight Club will be bringing only their best fighters.

In addition to the main events, some of the area fighters to watch on this epic fight card are: Adam Kope, Tom Ahlborn, Joe Kruz, Ryan White, Shane Cadott, Mike Meyers, Joel Wortner, Will Dicke, Jason Mills, Pete Gargo, Damian Metz, Matt Heiniken, Dustin Johnson, Josh Kertz, and Jared Johnson.
