UFC Looking To Rebuild Top-Name Lightweight

In a surprise move, the UFC has signed a bout between Nate Diaz and Melvin Guillard, and will be pushing it as the main event of September's 'Fight Night' card.

Diaz (winner of the fifth 'Ultimate Fighter' season) was riding a five-fight streak of wins, but, in January and June, his luck changed, when he suffered back-to-back losses to Clay Guida and Joe Stevenson.

Guillard (a participant on TUF's second season), often thought of as having amazing potential, yet failing to meet it, has had a spotty UFC career, but is presently on a two-fight streak of wins, which includes what most would consider an upset over Gleison Tibau.

Momentum appears to be on Guillard's side, but in reality, Diaz should be able to dispatch of Guillard, which is, of course, the idea.

Gotta think the loser of this one's leaving town, although I haven't specifically heard such.

I've been too lazy to even make mention of the show, but Casey Trowbridge has, and far be it from me to not capitalize on such an opportunity.
