The opening contest saw a 4 Way Match for a PWS Contract between EJ Risk, "Juicy" Justin Corino, VSK, and Vicious Vin. About 10 minutes into this back and forth match up in which VSK was the obvious stand out, "The Cold Hearted Playa" Danny Demanto, sporting a snazzy Charles Oakley Knicks jersey, jumped the guardrail from the crowd and hit finishers on all four participants with the crowd of an estimated 200 behind him. Demanto cleaned house and with the crowd's approval proclaimed that he is back in PWS. With Commissioner Necro Butcher not in the building, there was really nobody to tell him otherwise. Necro is expected to issue a statement on this in the coming days.
Kevin Matthews escorted his Reality Check teammate Tommy Suede to the ring for his singles match with fellow The Wrestler film star Romeo Roselli. This match marked another first for PWS; not only as a battle of two film stars, but as the first time in perhaps the entire career of Romeo Roselli that he had the entire crowd cheering for him. Mid match, a melee broke out between Reality Check (Matthews/Devon Moore), B-Boy, and Grim Reefer. In the midst of the free for all, Suede took a beating from B-Boy which led to the local hero Romeo picking up the pinfall victory. As a hurt Suede was taken to the back by his Reality Check teammates, Reefer made the announcement that due to the bad weather Jerry Lynn was legit stuck at the Raleigh/Durham airport. Moore agreed to put his PWS Title on the line in a Three Way Dance Ambulance Match later in the night against B-Boy and Reefer.

Black Machismo Jay Lethal entered the ring and announced that while he was supposed to wrestle Demolition with a mystery partner tonight, there was a guy in the locker room that he had always wanted a piece of. Out came One Warrior Nation! Machismo picked up the win after hitting three top rope elbow drops.
The match up between Demolition and The Latin American Dream/Danny Demanto was ruled a No Contest after Reality Check stormed the ring as Ax and Smash were hitting their finisher on Rob Vegas. Post match, Danny Demanto beat down Rob Vegas and joined Reality Check!
Universal Records hip hop star Poison Pen's intermission performance was interrupted by The Manitoba Maulers (Danny Duggan + Antonio Scorpio). New PWS tag team The Urban Legends (Wes Draven + Devious) came to Pen's aid and picked up the win. Poison Pen was announced as The Urban Legends' new manager.
The Dynamic Sensation pinned Javi-Air in a rematch from PWS Refuse To Lose
In the main event, PWS Champion Devon Moore defeated Grim Reefer and B-Boy by throwing Grim Reefer into the ambulance after a near half hour battle that spread throughout the entire building. The ambulance drove out of the building with Reefer in back to St John's Riverside Hospital following the conclusion of the match. Reality Check members Kevin Matthews and Danny Demanto were involved in the match and both received beatings. Matthews was tossed from the ring onto a full row of set up chairs while Reefer climbed a scaffold and dove onto Demanto whom was laid out across a set of guardrails. About 20 chairs, a stretcher, an oxygen tank, frozen water bottles, and even a football were used in this match up. Moore's PWS Title now has the Reality Check logo on the main plate. "The New Age Punisher" B-Boy is blaming Danny Demanto's involvement in this match as the reason why he did not walk out as PWS Champion.
Attendance was near 200 people which included WWE Legend "The Mouth Of The South" Jimmy Hart, TNA star Homicide, New England tag team champs The Hoodz, FTW superstar Jay Lover, rapper Knowledge, and more. Jerry Lynn wishes to apologize to his fans that he was unable to attend the event due to his flight cancellation. Lynn left his home in Nashville, TN at 8am Fri morning, however when he arrived in Raleigh/Durham NC for his connecting to flight to NY's JFK, he was informed that all departures to NY + NJ had been postponed until the following morning due to high winds and rain in the area.

In November, 2002 independent wrestling phenomenon Jeff Peterson lost his long battle with cancer. May 16-17, 2003 saw the beginning of the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup, a sixteen competitor tournament in honor of the fallen star. Each year the event has grown to international levels. Previous winners of this prestigious tournament are "Reckless Youth" Tom Carter, Justice, Chris Sabin, Milano Collection AT and Chris Hero.
This year the proceeds go to Devin Deschaine. Devin is a 2 yr old Port Richey boy with stage 4 Neuroblastoma. His form of cancer is one of the most rare & aggressive pediatric cancers. Only about 600 kids in the USA will be diagnosed with Neuroblastoma each year. About 70% of them will NOT survive. Devin is very close to our hearts & there is no other option for him but to SURVIVE. He's a born fighter. He was a little fighter long before he was diagnosed. Neuroblastoma shouldn't be any different. He just needs a little help with this fight.

The long and I do mean long version:
As tradition with the tournament, Naphtali introduced the sixteen competitors to the fans and gave them medals for participating.
Before the tournament began, 911 Inc. members Francisco Ciatso, Shawn Osborne and Kory Chavis along with their leader the "Hardcore Giant" Ron Niemi made their way out to the ring. Niemi ran down how they have dominated Pro Wrestling Riot since day one and made everyone’s life a living hell. Niemi brought up the news Dany Only of Dogmatika was unable to be at the show. He demanded a referee come to the ring and declare the match theirs by default. But when they got a referee in the ring he was interrupted by Sideshow who said he was ready to fight no matter what. They were also joined by "the Marquee" Bruce Santee who said since Sideshow had been there for him, he was going to join forces tonight making Chavis join the match.
(1) Sweet N' Sour Inc.'s Larry Sweeney defeated Tommy Taylor of the British Lions.
Sweeney didn’t make friends with the fans at ringside and they let him know it as he stalled for several moments before ever locking up with Taylor. When they did Taylor was hit with a hiptoss and Sweeney celebrated like he won the Super Bowl. Sweeney followed with a questionable low blow and he talked to the fans. Taylor made him pay for turning his back with several moves that made Sweeney seek higher ground, milking the referee’s count. When he did come back Sweeney begged for forgiveness from Taylor but he got none as Taylor went to work on Sweeny’s left arm and wrist. Sweeney got free and set Taylor up in the corner for Shattered Dreams but referee Richie Rich got in the way and it allowed Taylor to free himself and get Sweeney on the mat. But Taylor took his eye off Sweeney for a moment and he got hit with an axe handle to the back. Taylor fought back with European style forearms but Sweeney avoided a cross bodyblock and Taylor got his neck wedged in between the ropes. Sweeney let Taylor get free and then pounced on the injury using all the dirty tricks he could to wear Taylor down. Sweeney went for a corner whip but Taylor avoided the contact and flipped over the charging Sweeney to land several shots before heading to the top rope. Taylor came off with a cross bodyblock but Sweeney was able to roll through and get the pin with the help of the ropes.
(2) Jaison Moore of Pro Wrestling Riot defeated "Addicted to Love" Rhett Titus of Ring of Honor.
Moore wanted a handshake but Titus decided to adjust his tights instead. Titus used some mat wrestling along with some sexy time action mixed in. Titus hit a slam but missed an elbow and was hit with a leg lariat and ended up on the mat in an armbar. Titus freed himself the old fashioned way, two hands full of hair. Titus hit a boot to the face and kept it there going to a chokeout. Titus hit a sexy suplex for two and locked Moore in a submission hold but Moore got to his feet, only to end back on the mat thanks to a cheap shot. Titus went for another sexy suplex but Moore countered into a small package for two. Moore fought to his feet with stiff kicks to the legs only to have Titus fire back with some of his own. Titus locked in an abdominal stretch with some leverage from the ropes as referee Pez Merriweather asked for the submission. Moore got free and hit a senton for two. Moore went for a corner move but ran into Titus’ crotch. He recovered and hit Rolling Thunder into the corner for two. Titus hit a kneelift and a dropkick but Moore countered the pin attempt into one of his own to advance to the second round.
(3) In a triple threat showcase, the YRR’s Chasyn "Not Cocky" Rance defeated "Mr. 630" Jerrelle Clark and Chikara’s Icarus.
In the opening moments the triple threat match seemed more like a handicap one with Clark fighting off both men. That alliance faded as Rance took Icarus to a corner for some bodyshots. Clark got back in the match taking Rance out with an armbreaker. Clark got locked in an abdominal stretch/octopus style hold only to see Rance break the hold up. Icarus went for a superplex but Clark blocked it and was ready to come off but the charging Rance was tripped by Icarus and it made Clark fall off. Rance hit Clark with a superkick and went for one to Icarus but got hit with a small package for two. Icarus went up top hitting a splash for two when Clark broke up the count. Clark hit Icarus with a springboard clothesline but Rance stopped that pin. Rance’s superkick was blocked and Clark hit a modified neckbreaker for two. Icarus got back in the match but Clark hit a brainbuster but his one and a half splash hit only canvas. Icarus went for a pedigree but Clark dumped him to the floor but Rance snuck up and dumped Clark to the floor. Rance grabbed Icarus and hit the Chasyn Driver to win.
(4) Jon Davis of the Dark City Fight Club/911 Inc. defeated CJ O'Doyle of Pro Wrestling Riot.
Davis and O’Doyle traded hard hitting shots until Davis hit a spinebuster which changed the momentum big time. Davis followed up with forearm shots and shot wearing down O’Doyle’s back. Davis got cocky and O’Doyle made him pay with several chest chops and a boot to the face. But his offense was stopped by a Davis powerslam for two. Davis took his focus off O’Doyle talking to the fans. When he turned around O’Doyle leveled him with a clothesline and was followed Davis to the floor with a tope’. Back in the ring O’Doyle countered a suplex into a inverted DDT for two. O’Doyle went to end the match but Davis fought back with a neckbreaker into a pin for two. Davis went for a running slam but O’Doyle slid off into a power bomb for two. O’Doyle went for a power move but Davis powered out and hit "3 Seconds Around the World" to advance.
(5) Chikara's Gran Akuma defeated Big Japan's Craig Classic.
Both men started with armbars and armdrags until Akuma hit several kicks only to be hit with chops and a dropkick from Classic. Akuma blocked a hiptoss but didn’t block a second rope sunset flip. Classic let the hold got and paid for it with a kick to his face. Akuma took Classic to the mat with a chinlock but let it go to inflict more pain. Akuma hit a takeover followed with a kick to the face of Classic. Akuma hit a gordbuster for two and thought he had the match won. Akuma kept on the offense with kicks to the upper body but Classic fought back. Akuma went back to the mat with a bodyscissor but Classic refused to submit, instead fighting to his feet. Akuma ended up on the ring apron and Classic hit a lariat followed by a top rope dive onto the prone Akuma. The fight went to the floor with Classic chopping Akuma around the ring before coming back to the ring with a running forearm and suplex for two. Classic kept on the attack with a DVD but only got two. Akuma countered a waistlock and hit a wheel barrel into a facebuster for two. The two men traded shots in the middle of the ring and it ended with Akuma hitting a kick to the face. Classic went for a full nelson but Akuma countered into a German suplex followed by Victory Roll that dropped into a piledriver like hold.
(6) In a non-tournament match, Club Vitale's Heartbreak Express ("Superstar" Sean & "Fabulous" Phil Davis) & Scott Davis (w/ "the Princess of Wrestling" Amy Vitale and Raymond Snow) defeated The Lifeguards (Wade Koverly & Daron Smythe) & Austin Amadeus.
This match has history dating back several months in Pro Wrestling Riot recently revolving around Vitale and Amadeus. Hopefully tonight it will end the conflict. However all six men jumped each other before the bell and took the fight all over ringside. The Express and Davis bailed to the floor only to be hit with triple body blocks. The fighting continued as referee Chuck Aurin tried to retain some order. Finally Koverly and Phil Davis made their way into the ring but Scott Davis got the referee’s attention long enough that his team dumped Koverly to the floor where Snow was waiting to inflict pain. The Davis trio took turns beating down Koverly for several minutes but none of them got the victory. Instead Koverly managed to avoid Scott Davis’ top rope elbow drop and tag in Amadeus who was ready to fight, taking on all three men. But Amadeus went after Vitale and ran into Snow. All six men got involved again with Amadeus taking Scott Davis back in the ring hitting a suplex but his top rope move was stopped by Vitale’s interference. With the referee tied up by Snow, the Davis’ hit Amadeus with a triple team spike piledriver to end the match.
(7) "The Campus Legend" Brad Attitude defeated GEAR's Nooie Lee.
Early on it was the speed of Lee against the power and cockiness of Attitude, which was briefly won by Lee with a counter of the wheel barrel into an armdrag. Attitude bailed to the floor but Lee followed out with a baseball slide and back in with a spingboard splash for two. Lee went for corner punches but Attitude pushed him off and then shoved him into the corner buckles out of control. Attitude went to work on Lee’s neck with a mare and a chinlock. Attitude followed with another neckbreaker but his power bomb was countered into head scissors by Lee. But Lee’s neck move was blocked and countered into a Samoan Drop for two. Attitude went back to the chinlock but Lee fought to his feet hitting a jawbreaker. Lee hit a series of kicks wearing out Attitude but not getting the pin. Lee went to end it with a top rope double knee to the neck but Attitude survived the pin attempt. Attitude fought back with a pin attempt of his own but nearly fell to a Code Red. Lee went for a cross bodyblock but was caught by Attitude who hit an Attitude Adjuster like move to advance.
(8) The YRR's Sal Rinauro defeated Chris Gray of the British Lions.
Rinauro spent the opening minutes running his mouth and doing Hindu Squats before locking up with Gray. Rinauro entered the ring hitting himself with a cross body block. When Gary went to lock up Rinauro hit the floor. Rinauro finally came into the ring where Gray went right on the attack working on Rinauro’s arm. But after a chicken wing hold and a chicken dance, Rinauro went to the floor. Rinauro grabbed the house mic and ridiculed the fans for mocking his ring attire. Rinauro got back in the ring but ended up in an overhand wrist lock which Gray switched to top hand before Rinauro got to the ropes and the floor once more. Gray grabbed Rinauro by the hair and dragged him into the ring where he hit a series of moves but Rinauro got out of a corner punch fest and dropped Gray on the turnbuckle. Gray fought back but the duo ended up wiping out the referee. Rinauro used this time to reach in his tights and use a foreign object and he used it on Gray’s lower region to advance via controversial pinfall.
(9) In a non-tournament match, 911 Inc.'s Francisco Ciatso, Kory Chavis, Shawn Osborne & Hardcore Giant" Ron Niemi defeated Sideshow & "The Marquee" Bruce Santee.
Santee and Sideshow ran right into the ring not allowing the ring intro to take place and surprisingly they took control of the bout, keeping Ciatso isolated in their half of the ring. Niemi took a place on the ring apron as Sideshow got a pin attempt after a leg lariat and Santee followed with an armlock but Ciatso raked the eyes and he tagged in Osborne who was hiptossed to the mat. Osborne escaped and tagged in Chavis who walked right into a hip toss followed by an elbow for two which only made the frustration on Niemi’s face grow stronger. But Santee took his focus off Chavis by going after the 911 corner and Chavis made him pay with a clothesline and several punches to the face. Niemi tagged in with Santee on his back laying in kicks but as Santee made his way up, Niemi ran to Osborne for a tag. Osborne’s backdrop was countered into a Santee backslide for two and Chavis tagged back in, choking out Santee. Sideshow didn’t help his partner out by trying to enter the ring, which only kept the referee’s back turned on 911 Inc’s triple teaming. Niemi tagged back in to choke out Santee but tagged in Chavis who was hit with a chokeslam which allowed the exhausted Santee to tag in Sideshow who was ready and raring to go. Sideshow was in control but the numbers were too many as Chavis pulled the referee to the floor stopping the count. 911 Inc. kept Santee busy on the floor as Ciatso and Osborne hit Sideshow with a double team backbreaker into a legdrop. To add insult they let Niemi get the pinfall. After the match Santee said his mouth may have cost him a victory but tomorrow night the odds would be even inside the WarGames match.
(10) Kenny King of the YRR defeated Ring Of Honor's Jigsaw.
King was a ’07 participant until a knee injury forced him to withdraw and he was ready to show the fans he deserved to be in this year’s tournament. Both men traded armdrag takeovers but it was King who bailed to the floor to regroup. King came back in only to be on the mat in an armbar. King fired back with forearms but Jigsaw hit some of his own. King got control after a head shot and some kicks to the chest. King grounded Jigsaw with a rear chinlock as the fans cheered for Jigsaw who fought back with kicks and chops. But King dropped Jigsaw on the top rope and hitting a spinning kick to the ribs which sent Jigsaw to the floor. King followed out and laid in the chops which echoed through the building. Finally the match came back to the ring taking Jigsaw to the mat with a body scissor. Somehow Jigsaw fought off defeat even as King used the ropes for leverage. Jigsaw got a quick two count but King got on the attack with a clothesline and a headbutt. King went for a move but Jigsaw slid off the shoulders and hit an enziguri. Both men fought to their feet and it was Jigsaw who controlled the pace hitting King with body shots and a tope’ to the floor which sent Jigsaw’s face into the ring barrier, opening up a cut. Jigsaw went up top hitting a cross bodyblock for two. Jigsaw went for another bodyblock but King countered into the Coronation for two. King was shocked Jigsaw kicked out and nearly fell to a double stomp to the head and a swinging DDT for two. King and Jigsaw fought over control and it ended with King hitting the Coronation a second time to advance.
(11) Erick Stevens of Full Impact Pro defeated Chris Jones of Pro Wrestling Fusion.
Stevens tried to intimidate the smaller Jones but it seemed to have little effect. Stevens asked for a test of strength which Jones responded with a dropkick but Stevens grabbed both hands and drove Jones to the mat. Jones countered out into a take down and eventually head scissors which led to an armbar. Stevens fought out of a hammerlock and back Jones to a corner but Stevens got caught in a huricurana and was sent to the floor where Jones hit him with a tope’. Stevens made his way into the ring where Jones hit a top rope bodyblock into an armlock. Stevens escaped and after running the ropes, he hit Jones with a Samoan Drop. Stevens went right into his power attack which grounded Jones for several minutes. Stevens delivered several knee shots to Jones’ ribs and then pulling Jones’ head back into a submission hold. But a corner whip briefly helped Jones who hit Stevens with an elbow to the jaw. Stevens recovered and hit several bodyslams in a row before locking in a stretch. Stevens let it go to inflict more pain but his choo choo missed the mark and Jones’ bodyshots knocked Stevens down to size. But Stevens went for the TKO only to be blocked by Jones who hit a kick to the chest and the hamstrings. Jones went up on Stevens shoulders and came down with a reverse huricurana for two. Stevens fired back with a lariat for two and Jones kicked out which stunned the fans. Stevens called for the Doctor Bomb but Jones countered into his own version of the Code Red for two. Stevens went to the ring apron and Jones followed where Stevens went for a suplex but Jones blocked it and hit a inverted DDT on the apron. Jones went up top to end it all but hit his splash hit both of Stevens’ knees and Stevens locked in a body vise which he refused to let go until Jones couldn’t stand the pain and tapped out. After the match Stevens addressed the fans saying Chris Jones earned his respect, which is hard to have in this business.

Great Championship Wrestling results for September 25 in Phenix City, AL, at the GR8 SK8 Plex: Attendance reported as approximately 125. Tex Monroe pinned Ron Stalker (with Princeton Gainey III). "That 80's Guy" John Bogie beat The Merchants of Death (Orion Bishop & Murder One with Wicked Nemesis) by disqualification in a handicap match. Cru Jones pinned J-Rod. Johnny Swinger pinned Bull Buchanan to become the #1 contender for the GCW Heavyweight Title after interference by Cru Jones. GCW Heavyweight Champion Micah Taylor (with Tracy Taylor) pinned Shaun Banks.
After their match, Sonny Siaki attacked both Tex Monroe and Ron Stalker. After his match, Cru Jones was interviewed by Taylor McKnight. Jones demanded a rematch for his heavyweight title and claimed that neither Swinger nor Buchanan deserved a shot at the #1 contendership.
GCW returns on October 2 to the GR8 SK8 Plex in Phenix City. As a special gift to the loyal GCW fans, all tickets will be $5, first come first serve for ringside seats.

The first broadcast partner of the UFC in Romania, TELESPORT aired the recent UFC 88: BREAKTHROUGH event, featuring Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell vs. “Sugar” Rashad Evans, and received a 4.5 percent market share for the premiere and a 3.5 percent market share for its replay later that evening.

The WEC also announced that, starting in 2009, the organization will focus on four weight classes: welterweight (170 pounds), lightweight (155 pounds), featherweight (145 pounds), and bantamweight (135 pounds). The WEC will no longer actively promote light heavyweight and middleweight fights after the Dec. 3rd event. This increased attention to the sport’s lighter divisions makes the WEC the undisputed home of the most exciting lighter weight fighters in mixed martial arts.
“With every fight, the WEC has proven itself to be a powerful and growing presence in sports, both with our live events and our programming on VERSUS,” said Peter Dropick, WEC Vice President, Operations and Production. “Exciting matchups like Torres vs. Tapia on Dec. 3 and the incredible fights we have planned for 2009 under this new structure will no doubt establish WEC as the home of the best lighter weight fighters in the world.”
WEC Bantamweight Champion Miguel Angel Torres (34-1) captured the attention of the worldwide MMA community when he put on a groundfighting clinic against Chase Beebe, capturing the title with a guillotine choke just 3:59 into the championship bout. His place among the elite was solidified in June, when he stopped tough Yoshiro Maeda at the end of the third round in one of the best fights of 2008. After years of fighting, Torres has finally earned his place as one of mixed martial arts’ best, pound for pound, but his reign won’t be complete until he defends his title against Manny Tapia.
Manny “The Mangler” Tapia (10-0-1) is a television favorite due to his aggressive style and KO power. He burst onto the WEC scene with an impressive TKO over Brandon Foxworth, and then followed that victory up with a three round war against veteran Antonio Banuelos that he won via a hard-fought decision. Having shown both heart and skill in the cage, now all he needs is a belt around his waist, something he hopes to take from Torres on December 3rd.

There is no doubt that over the past 12 months, TNA has taken women’s wrestling to a whole new level with the addition of their Knockouts division and now the Knockout’s story is told in the latest TNA DVD release “Knocked Out: Pro Wrestling’s greatest women’s division”
Knocked Out is a fitting title for this DVD because for once, TNA knocked it out of the park when it comes to a solid DVD package. A nearly 3 and a half hour main feature accompanied with a special bonus disc featuring “Gail Kim’s Final TNA Interview” has finally taken TNA DVD production to another level.
The main feature offers interview segments with every member of the Knockout division, with the exception of Awesome Kong, who instead is covered by the other knockouts, each of them speak on their beginnings in the wrestling business, what the knockouts division has meant to them, why the knockouts division is better than the Divas, and even the personal stuff like their personal hobbies. Peppered throughout the interview segments is actual photo’s and video footage of the knockouts from their pre TNA days, which is something that TNA has only included on their DVD’s on the rare occasion. Another improvement is the natural progression of the feature, Often on previous TNA DVD’s featuring interview segments you would be interrupted by a constantly repeating 5 seconds of music with a graphics board to introduce the next segment, this time however you have a smooth transition cutting with just a graphic board. For anyone who saw the original TNA Knockouts DVD from a few years ago this is no comparison as it blows the original out of the water and uses a very different format.
Also in the main feature is some of the best matches from the knockouts division over the past year, beginning with the obvious choice of the “match that started it all” the TNA knockouts battle royal from Bound For Glory 07 which crowned Gail Kim as the first ever Knockouts champion, Next up is Roxxi Laveaux vs Gail Kim vs Angel Williams vs ODB from Genesis 07, Then we have the two knockouts matches from Turning Point 07 in The Beautiful People vs Roxxi Laveaux/ODB, and the first battle between Awesome Kong & Gail Kim, which is followed up by their subsequent battles at Final Resolution and Impact in January of this year. The So Cal Val-Jay Lethal wedding from Slammiversary 08 is next up, followed by the Sacrifice 08 Knockouts Makeover Battle Royale in which the loser had her head shaved bald. The Lockdown Tag Team Grudge match between Gail Kim / ODB and Awesome Kong /Raisha Saeed as well as the Awesome Kong vs Taylor Wilde 25,000$ Challenge for the knockouts title from Impact wraps up the match lineup..
The DVD bonus disc features Gail Kim’s final TNA Interview, which is an audio only interview set to photos and videos of the knockout which was recorded on August 21st 2008 at 4:30pm, Running 3 minutes in length, Kim expresses that she has been debating with one of the hardest decisions of her life and had made the tough choice to leave the company. She goes onto speak of her favorite memories of her run in the company. There is obviously no mention of the WWE and why she chose to leave, and when I got the DVD, I wondered why a bonus disc hyping her departure was included, obviously it was added late in production thus the need for it to be on a second disc. A bonus match is included on this disc as well as Gail Kim takes on Awesome Kong in a street fight on Impact. This would turn out to be her final match on television for TNA and keeping with wrestling tradition she goes out on her back, Whether or not she returns is unknown at this point but if she does depart to return to the WWE then this is a nice added touch to complete the package because the documentary portion does put over Kim often as a huge part of the success of the division and the impact she has had on those around her.
I’d definitely recommend picking this DVD up, its one of the best DVD’s ive seen from TNA. Recently it was announced that TNA was near completion of it fully featured and dedicated production studio, and if this DVD was any indication of where they are going then TNA has finally “crossed the line” into a major player in the wrestling dvd market.

An unidentified interviewer (“Kodiak” Steve Hall) approached Jerry Lynn in the parking lot of the SAW Mill. Lynn admitted his disappointment about last week’s match against Kid Kash. Lynn said he had Kash beat in their first match and it was the clock that beat him, not Kash. Lynn said he instinctively went for the piledriver in that match, but obeyed the ref’s warning to stop.
What did you do in the second match? You saved your ass. You went ahead anyway. Looked dead in the referees eyes when he was giving you the warning and piledrove me anyway. Why? Because that’s the desperate act of a desperate man.
They showed clips of both incidents and cut back to woefully out of focus shot of Lynn. He said Kash was worried, because deep down, he knew Lynn could beat him. Kash said he was going to petition Commissioner Freddie Morton for a no disqualification match.
Your bark is worse than your bite. If you’ve got the balls like you always say you do, you’ll show up, and you’ll do it. And I don’t care what it take cuz I will TEAR THE HOUSE DOWN.
The opening montage rolled…
Michael St. John and Reno Riggins opened the show from ringside with highlight clips from last week. They key point was that A-Team had so far failed to answer the challenge Arrick Andrews issued at the close of last week’s episode. They hyped the inring debut of Marc Anthony and showed footage of his assault on the SAW Mill.
MARC ANTHONY vs. TATSU
Joined with the devastation already underway. The announce team compared Anthony to Abdullah the Butcher and Bruiser Brody. Anthony drilled his scrawny, masked opponent with a top rope elbow for the pin. Reno said it hit like an atomic bomb.
WINNER: Anthony with the top rope elbow. Just what it needed to be - a massacre topped with a devastating finisher.
Hot Rod Biggs attempted to interview Anthony, who was in a world of his own. Anthony yelled at Biggs for interrupting his conversation with Uncle Ronnie P. “They said it would be a man with no face. They said it would be an unnamed soldier. What were they thinking, Uncle Ronnie? We can’t be stopped. We won’t be stopped. SAW is doomed.”
A gangsterish looking Reno was about to throw it to Hot Rod Biggs when he was approached by Drew Haskins, also wearing a spiffy looking suit. Haskins challenged Anthony to a match. Riggins said Drew’s guts weren’t in question, but his judgment was another story. Riggins said Haskins request would be forwarded to Commissioner Freddie Morton.
At ringside, Biggs addressed the A-Team (minus Matt Dillinger) concerning Andrews’ open challenge. Paul Adams said he had three guys that wanted a piece of him. The crowd actually got excited as Andrews joined MSJ in the interview area. Adams challenged Andrews to find a couple of partners for a 6 man. Andrews said he didn’t know if he could on such short notice, but he would take on the entire A-Team by himself if necessary. A-Team tried to sneak up on Andrews, but Tribal Nation had Andrews’ back. That also got a pop. Morton and Riggins got in the middle of it. Trash talking ensued.
2 – CHRIS MICHAELS (with Fallon) vs. JESSE EMERSON
Reno noted that Fallon’s arm was in a sling. Michaels went down on a shoulder tackle and backed off for a TO. Michaels took command with pure brawling. Reno said Sean Casey and the rest of the Freak Squad were vacationing in the Caribbean. Emerson reversed a whip and Michaels took a backdrop like he was channeling Harley Race. Dropkick and a bigtime lariat over the top by Emerson. Back inside, Emerson made Michaels miss with a flying elbow drop. Riggins said it was funny how Fallon injuries started when Michaels arrived on the scene. Michaels hit a powerdrive back suplex and went back to brawling. Detective St. John found it very disturbing that Michaels was left-handed and Fallon’s injuries were on her right side. Emerson reversed a headshot in the buckles and laced Michaels with a chop, but Michaels poked him the eye. Michaels hit a short arm clothesline. Michaels and Fallon threw it up and threw it down. Michaels got two with a knee drop. As the beating continued, Riggins talked about High Society taking credit for getting rid of Chase Stevens and Adam Armor. Michaels took a flying crotch bump onto the middle turnbuckle. Emerson added insult to injury with an inverted atomic drop, and here came Jesse on the comeback. Emerson with a powerslam and a snug cradle for a near fall. Emerson with a Russian legsweep, and Michaels rolled a shoulder at two and ½. Back and forth counters and a Michaels superkick to the chops for the three count.
WINNER: Michaels in 7:15. This was another match hurt by lack of crowd heat, but I’ve already beat that horse to death. Nothing wrong with the work, but I didn’t get the point of giving it so much time. The commentary was rehash, there was no interplay between Michaels and Fallon and you never got the sense that Michaels was in danger of losing.
MSJ interviewed Michaels at ringside. MSJ asked Michaels about Fallon’s injury. Michaels said she was just clumsy and had walked into a door. He said the accusations of foul play were off base. “She just might need a break too.” Michaels laughed at his own joke.
Biggs said he was going to get to the bottom of what was going with Michaels and Fallon. He barged into their dressing room. Michaels called Fallon a crybaby and a drama queen. Michaels was great here. “These boots aren’t going to takes themselves off.” Fallon told him she couldn’t move her arm. Biggs said he wasn’t one to stick his nose in, but he was concerned about Fallon’s injuries. Michaels was sticking to his story. Chase Stevens appeared out of nowhere. Michaels called for security. Stevens told Fallon if Michaels was doing anything to her, she needed to tell somebody. Michaels tried to interrupt. Stevens told him to shut up. Michaels shrunk back. “Next week, it’s going to be me and you, and you’re going to look like you walked into a damn door,” said Stevens. Michaels said Stevens would pay for busting into his dressing room. "Security stinks."
Cut to MSJ at ringside with “budding superstar” TJ Harley. Harley knew exactly how those guys in the back felt and it sucked. Harley said Rachel Worthington was all up in his business such that it was worse than when they were together. Ms. Worthington led Shawn Shultz to ringside with Chrisjen Hayme bringing up the rear. Shultz was wearing a bathrobe and slippers and carrying a cup of warm milk. Worthington said she had heard Harley babbling about his woman problems. “You’ve got a woman problem for the rest of your life right here.” Harley said he been waiting to kick Shultz’s ass and wanted to fight until one of them bled. Shultz said he would love to tear Harley up, but he didn’t feel very well. Shultz claimed he had been having panic attacks that made his immune system go down, and now, he had a cold. Shultz said “Carl Hanks” would wrestle Harley. Worthington sweet-talked Hayme. Hayme said anything for you.
3 – TJ HARLEY vs. CHRISJEN HAYME (with Rachel Worthington & Shawn Shultz)
Harley with fists of fire. Hayme covered up, so Harley gave him a swinging neckbreaker and clotheslined him over the top. “C’mon Carl. Get up!” said Shultz, who had joined St. John on commentary. As Harley continued to pound away on Hayme, MSJ told Shultz to stay away from him if he had a cold. Shultz faked a sneeze. MSJ said he had never seen Shultz drink anything but sports drinks. “Warm milk comforts me,” Shultz explained. With Harley on the apron, Hayme hit a running lariat to take over. MSJ said Shultz didn’t look to be his old self and asked if he was on medication - “No. I wish.” Harley went down in a heap from a corner lariat. Hayme dragged him to the center and covered, but Harley kicked out. Hayme then had Harley pinned with a one foot dropkick, but Miss Worthington was randomly up on the apron distracting the ref. St. John was perplexed by Worthington’s obsession with getting rid of Harley. Shultz told MSJ he didn’t know what kind of guy Harley really was. Moments later, Harley had Hayme pinned with a reverse roll up. But there was Worthington on the apron again for a chat with ref Jess Fields. Shultz jumped into the ring, bathrobe and all, to DDT Harley. Hayme covered for the three count.
WINNER: Hayme in 5:33 after Shultz DDTed Harley. The match was OK enough. It was secondary to the awesomeness of the interplay between Shultz and St. John on commentary.
Biggs was at ringside with Kid Kash. Biggs said Commissioner Morton had just OKed the no DQ rematch. Kash said only a man with fear in his heart would ask for such a match. He said told Lynn to bring his ass down and they would have the match. “You just messed up.” He said knew Kash from around the world and from ECW –“the original ECW.” “Jerry’s been around, and I respect Jerry’s ability, but I don’t like Jerry. AT ALL.” Biggs brought up Lynn’s earlier statement that Kash used the piledriver because he was afraid of losing his title. Kash said no way. He made the SAW title famous defending it in Europe and Japan. Now, Lynn wanted to waltz in and become the champ, and it didn’t work like that. Kash said the truth was he used the piledriver because he wanted to hurt Lynn, and if Lynn wasn’t careful he would get dropped on his head again next week.
4 – THE A-TEAM (Hammerjack & Ric Santel & David Young with Paul Adams) vs. ARRICK ANDREWS & TRIBAL NATION (Lennox Lightfoot & Indian Outlaw)
Joined in progress with Outlaw delivering some stiff chops to Young. MSJ said Outlaw had a “Shaquille O’Neal style of bodybuilding.” Some compliment that was. Lightfoot gave Hammerjack a backdrop over the top rope. Andrews entered wearing war paint for the occasion. He beat on Hammerjack’s shoulder like a man possessed. Tribal Nation gave Santel a double chop for a two count. Hammerjack poked Lightfoot in the back with his sledge to start the heat. Returning from commercial break, A-Team was taking turning working over Lightfoot’s low back. They cut to action that occurred during the break showing Young kicking Lightfoot in the spine. While the ref was admonishing Lightfoot’s partners, A-Team beat the hell out of Lightfoot in their corner. HUGE lariat cut off by Young for a near fall. Hammerjack covered after a double backdrop but Outlaw was in for the save. Lightfoot ran the ropes to set a high crossbody hope spot. Why not just detour for the tag? Hammerjack used some lame stomps to the back to set up a camel clutch. Lightfoot flipped onto his back and caught Hammerjack with a double knee to the groin. Andrews ran wild with the tag. Six way action ensued. No sooner had MSJ mentioned that Lightfoot was in no condition to be in the ring, he hit a flip dive onto Hammerjack. Santel followed with a slingshot dive. Outlaw did a wild slingshot crossbody. Riggins said he looked like a flying ostrich. Young was itching to do a dive of his own, when Andrews surprised him with an O’Connor Roll for a lightning fast three count by Kurt Herron.
WINNERS: Andrews & Tribal Nation in 14:15. Not main event caliber. Some comically bad spots. The dive sequence at the end was so slow in developing that it looked really fake.
A-Team gave the babyface trio a beatdown. Adams threw powder into the faces of Tribal Nation. MSJ coughed on the powder. Young used the sledgehammer on Andrews and Outlaw. St. John mistakenly called him Eric Young, and said he called him the name of baseball player. I guess MSJ doesn’t watch TNA. Nikki Vaughn hit the ring in street clothes and got a great pop. A-Team powdered out in a panic. Riggins said Vaughn was Andrews’ former partner.
The Good: Shultz first and foremost. That was a classic segment and a hilarious performance by Shultz. The best segments on this show all occurred outside of the bell-to-bell action. The postmatch stuff with Anthony worked really well. I really liked the interviews with both Lynn and Kash. What a great story they’re telling. That was some nice attention to detail with the piledriver clips. I’m not a big fan of the domestic abuse angle with High Society, but Michaels was terrific in the dressing room sequence. There’s a fair amount of subtle subtext to the stories in SAW, and they take their time telling them. They did some interesting things with the flow and staging of several segments in this episode.
The Bad: The main event left me feeling like I spoke too soon when I said last week’s show raised the bar on the wrestling in SAW. They spent a lot of time on the Michaels match without developing anything significant with Fallon. As much Vaughn’s run in got over, it was kind of silly for three heels with a sledgehammer in their corner to run away from a guy with no weapon.
